#history

👆🏻 The Statue of Zeus at Olympia, one of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World, was a massive chryselephantine (gold and ivory) sculpture created by Phidias around 435 BCE. Its exact fate is uncertain, but historical accounts suggest it was destroyed in the 5th century CE by a fire inside the temple. Another widely accepted theory is that it was moved to Constantinople (modern-day Istanbul) after the Temple of Zeus in Olympia was damaged by earthquakes and fires. In Constantinople, it was likely housed in a palace or temple until it was destroyed in a fire, possibly the great fire of the Palace of Lausus around 475 CE, which consumed many artworks. Other theories include destruction by Christian zealots targeting pagan symbols or gradual deterioration after the temple's decline. No definitive archaeological evidence confirms the exact cause. #history @EuropeanTribalism

On 'tea' vs. 'chai' Tea and chai - two words for one plant, Camellia sinensis, yet they carry the weight of continents. Both spring from the Chinese symbol 茶, but their paths split like tribes on the move. Tea comes from the Min Nan tê, carried by Dutch ships from Fujian’s shores to Europe’s courts. By 1610, it was thee in Dutch, then tea in English. Trading partners adopted the term, like the German Tee. Chai, born from Mandarin chá, took the Silk Road west by continental traders. Through Persia’s chay to India’s streets, it became a spiced, milky brew. The entire Slavic world traded the plant this way, adopting the term. Sip and know your history! #history @EuropeanTribalism

On coins The cross on early medieval coins wasn’t a religious symbol, it was to help coins being halved and quartered accurately into smaller denominations. This was common practice from the 5th, to the 13th century when pennies started being minted in halves and quarters. The term ‘farthing’ originates in the Old English form of fēorðing, meaning fourthing, and this terminology and denomination was used right up until decimalisation in 1971. #history @EuropeanTribalism

On Hussars The Hussars (Polish: husaria) were one of the most effective cavalry formations in military history throughout the world. The name "husaria" was adopted into the Polish language in connection with the enlistment of the first Hussars into the crown army of the Polish-Lithuanian Commonwealth, hailing from the territories of Serbia and Hungary. They were light mercenary cavalry, formed in the 14th century in Hungary, recruited from among the Serbs living in Hungarian Dalmatia and Bačka and Banat, who after the defeat inflicted by the Turks at Kosovo in 1389 and the Turkish capture of the Balkan states sought a place for themselves in the Christian part of Europe for the continuation of the fight against the invaders. The Serbs, as the Muslims conquered more countries, including Hungary, wandered further north until they reached Poland in the late 15th century, looking to fight the Turks. They distinguished themselves at the Battle of Kletsk (against the Tatar army of the Crimean Khanate) in 1506 and at the Battle of Orsha (against the army of the Grand Duchy of Moscow) in 1514. In the modern era of the Polish-Lithuanian Commonwealth, the Hussars transformed from light cavalry into a heavy-armed cavalry, being a terror of enemies on the battlefields. It can be said with certainty that Hussars were a unique phenomenon found only in the armed forces of Poland. This is because all attempts to form such units in other countries did not bring the expected results. The task of the Hussars during a battle was to penetrate the enemy's grouping and break their array, allowing the lighter formations of Polish cavalry to enter the battle. The specificity of the armament, tactics and training of the winged horsemen, allowed the Republic to achieve a number of victories in battles fought against Russian, Swedish and Turkish armies. These include the Battle of Kircholm (1605), the Battle of Klushino (1610), the Battle of Chocim (1673) and the Battle of Vienna (1683). #history @EuropeanTribalism

On parallels If you have ever heard of the Kaufman plan or the Hooton plan, you know that there are vile subjects out there. The quintessence of these ideas is to obliterate the Teuton people, one and for all. Not very nice, huh? But looking at the current situation in Europe, I can conclude that these atrocities never ceased to be executed. What are the European countries with the most strict laws regarding the 'Rona-hoax? Germany, Austria, Italy. The former Axis powers. Do not tell me about this is a coincidence! Our enemies are still after our lives, but they made big mistakes. They suffer the genetic degeneration, not us. Look at these clowns like Schwab, Gates, Soros and others. They are evil, no doubt, but they are also highly dependant on skilled executioners of their plans, as they themselves are only degenerated kretins. #history @EuropeanTribalism

On Rome The wealth of the pre-imperial Rome mostly came from trade with salt. There were many saltworks where the river Tiber flows out to the Mediterranean Sea. For the transport to the North and distribution to inner Italy the Romans built a dedicated road, the Via Salaria (salt road). #history @EuropeanTribalism

On the Proto-Teutons After the 🔗deluge from 5.600B.C. the population from the Black Sea basin moved East and West. From around 5.000B.C. these Proto-Teutons built the first longhouses between the North Sea and the Black Sea. These houses were between ten and fourty meters long and between six and eight meters wide. A village consisted of five to six of these houses, containing up to 100 people. Everything that was needed, was built in these villages: tools, cutlery, clothes. #history @EuropeanTribalism
