✍️러시아 외교관의 날을 맞이하는 오늘 러시아 제국 시절에 외교관으로 활동하고 결국 한국 땅에서 인생을 마무리한 세르게이 치르킨 (1875-1943)에 대해 정보를 공유하고 싶습니다. 세르게이 치르킨는 1902년 러시아 제국 외교부를 입부했습니다. 그 후 이란, 인도, 조선 등 국가로 파견되어서 근무했습니다. 특히 1911-1914년 서울에서 제정 러시아의 공사관에서 근무했습니다. 이와 관련해서 러일전쟁 때 제물포 항(현재 인천항) 앞바다에서 벌어진 해전에서 영웅적으로 전사한 전설적인 ‘바랴그 호’ 러시아 선원들의 유골을 블라디보스토크로 운구하는 일을 맡아 진행한 치르킨의 특별한 공로를 언급할 수 있습니다. 1920년 치르킨은 외교생활, 또한 조국과 결별하기로 한 매우 어려운 결정을 내렸습니다. 1921년 치르킨과 그의 가족은 서울에서 도착했고 향후 20년 이상 서울에서 살았습니다. #Diplomatsday https://t.me/rembskorea/5805

2️⃣월 🔟일은 러시아 ‘외교관의 날’입니다. 우리 외교관의 날을 기념하여 우리 모두에게 소중한 건물, 스몰렌스카야-센나야 광장에 위치한 러시아 외무부 청사에 대해 좀 더 소개하고자 합니다. 러시아 제국 시절, 대외정책부는 상트페테르부르크의 궁전 광장에 위치해 있었습니다. 1918년, 외교관들은 모스크바로 이전하여 쿠즈네츠키 모스트 거리와 볼샤야 루뱐카 거리의 모퉁이 건물에 자리 잡았습니다. 1947년 9월 7일, 모스크바 800주년을 맞아 도시 곳곳에 ‘일곱 자매’로 알려진 7개의 스탈린식 고층 건물의 기공식이 열렸으며, 이후 외교부가 그 중 하나로 이전했습니다. 고층 건물 건설의 주요 주창자는 스탈린이었습니다. 당대 최고의 건축가들로 구성된 팀이 세 가지 건물 스케치를 고안했으며, 각각의 스케치들이 긍정적인 평가를 받았습니다. 외교부 건물은 혁신적인 건축 방법을 자랑했습니다. 처음 110일동안에는 건물 전체 높이의 금속 골조를 세웠습니다. 이후 최상층부터 콘크리트를 붓고, 콘크리트가 굳음에 따라 거푸집이 아래층으로 내려가는 방식으로 진행되었습니다. 👉중앙 건물은 27층, 총 높이 172미터로, 5년간의 공사 끝에 완성되었습니다. 건물은 총 면적 65,000㎡에 약 2,000개의 방이 있습니다. 당시로서는 이례적으로 많은 28개의 엘리베이터가 설치되었고, 그 중 절반 이상이 고속 엘리베이터였습니다. 수년 동안 스탈린식 고층 건물과 관련하여 떠돌았던 여러 이야기 중 하나는 스탈린이 외교부 건물을 지나며 “좋은 건물이지만, 첨탑이 부족하군.“이라고 말했다는 이야기입니다.어찌되었든 1951년에 첨탑을 추가하라는 명령이 내려졌습니다. 하지만 건물이 석재 증축물을 지탱할 수 없어 붕괴할 수 있다는 것이 밝혀졌고, 따라서 황토로 칠해진 강철판 첨탑을 설치하기로 결정되었습니다. 그 첨탑의 취약성으로 인해 외교부 건물은 스탈린식 고층 건물 중 유일하게 오각별로 장식되지 않은 건물이 되었습니다. 📚러시아 외교부 사이트에서 더 읽기 #diplomatsday

🗓 On February 10, a reception marking Russia Diplomats’ Day 🇷🇺 was held in Jakarta. 🎙 Welcoming remarks were delivered by the Ambassador of Russia to ASEAN, H.E. Evgeny Zagaynov, and the Ambassador of Russia to Indonesia, H.E. The message reads, in part: 💬 The history of Russia's Foreign Ministry contains many distinguished chapters. Our diplomats have always served the Fatherland with dignity and integrity, demonstrating genuine patriotism, dedication to duty, civic courage, and a high level of professionalism. Amid increasing global turbulence and the tense, volatile situation unfolding in a number of regions, the active, constructive, and unifying role of Russian diplomacy is especially needed. It is essential to make consistent and comprehensive use of all foreign policy instruments and opportunities so as to reliably safeguard Russia’s national security, defend its legitimate interests, and create favourable conditions for the country’s steady and comprehensive development. Further strengthening friendly relations with our closest allies and neighbours within the CIS, as well as advancing Eurasian integration processes, remain unconditional priorities.
