Метод строки split() разделяет строку на несколько строк по указанному символу >>> "a_b_c".split('_') ['a', 'b', 'c'] Можно указать максимальное количество разделений >>> "a_b_c".split('_', 1) ['a', 'b_c'] Или резать с другой стороны с помощью rsplit() (right split) >>> "a_b_c".rsplit('_', 1) ['a_b', 'c'] А что будет если оставить аргументы пустыми? >>> "a_b_c".split() ['a_b_c'] Получаем список с одним элементом, потому что по умолчанию используется пробельный символ. >>> "a b c".split() ['a', 'b', 'c'] То есть это равнозначно такому вызову? >>> "a b c".split(" ") ['a', 'b', 'c'] Кажется да, но нет! Давайте попробуем добавить пробелов между буквами >>> "a b c".split(" ") ['a', '', '', 'b', '', '', 'c'] И вот картина уже не так предсказуема 😕 А вот что будет по умолчанию >>> "a b c".split() ['a', 'b', 'c'] Всё снова красиво! 🤩 По умолчанию в качестве разделителя используется любой пробельный символ, будь то табуляция или новая строка. Включая несколько таких символов идущих подряд. А также игнорируются пробельные символы по краям строки. >>> "a\t b\n c ".split() ['a', 'b', 'c'] Аналогичный способ можно собрать с помощью регулярного выражения. Но пробелы по краям строки придется обрабатывать дополнительно. >>> import re >>> re.split(r"\s+", ' a b c '.strip()) ['a', 'b', 'c'] Здесь тоже можно указать количество разделений >>> re.split(r"\s+", 'a b c', 1) ['a', 'b c'] А что если мы хотим написать красиво, то есть split() без аргументов, но при этом указать количество разделений? В этом случае первым аргументом передаём None >>> "a\n b c".split(None, 1) ['a', 'b c'] Данный метод не учитывает строки с пробелами, взятые в кавычки 'a "b c" '.split() ['a', '"b', 'c"'] Но для таких случаев есть другие способы. #tricks#basic

@RusEmbMalta Press Release Special Issue EU–US “Trade Deal”: Partnership or Pressure? On July 27, 2025 Ursula von der Leyen and Donald Trump announced a “historic trade deal.” Brussels calls it “stability and predictability.” But let’s look closer 👇 🔹Tariffs: • US capped tariffs at 15% (instead of 30%) – but kept 50% on EU steel & aluminium. • 🇪🇺 EU drops duties on US industrial goods & opens doors to American farm & seafood exports. 🔹Energy & $$$: • EU pledges to buy $750bn worth of US LNG, oil & nuclear fuel by 2028. • Plus $40bn in US chips & $600bn EU investments into the US economy. • No real mechanism for implementation – just political promises. 🔹Other Concessions: • Brussels softens green rules so they won’t “restrict” US trade. • Signals readiness to buy US weapons. • Digital trade? Washington sets the tone. Backlash in Europe: • 🇩🇪 German industry: “flawed compromise,” billions in losses. • 🇫🇷 Macron: Brussels showed weakness. • Experts: “unfair and disproportionate,” €9–10bn losses in 2025. • Farmers’ unions & steel lobby: “strategic mistake.” 💡The Real Picture: This is not a “deal” – it’s Washington tightening its grip. Trade becomes a tool of pressure, forcing Europe into one-sided concessions while weakening its global competitiveness. 👉What Brussels sells as “predictability” looks more like dependence. 📰 Trump Official Blasts Europe Over India-EU Trade Deal US Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent has sharply criticized Europe’s new free trade agreement with India, accusing Europe of hypocrisy and calling out its double standards on the Ukraine war. Bessent argued that Europe’s choices expose a deep contradiction in its Ukraine policy. While publicly condemning Russia’s invasion, Europe has become a major buyer of refined oil products made from discounted Russian crude, which India has been buying since Western sanctions hit. “Europe and India signing this massive trade deal—does that threaten America? They should do what’s best for themselves,” Bessent said. “But I find the Europeans very disappointing because they are on the front line of the Ukraine-Russia war.” He pointed out that the US imposed a 25% tariff on India for buying Russian oil, but Europe declined to join, suggesting this reluctance was driven by a desire to keep trade negotiations with India on track. Bessent accused European countries of indirectly financing the conflict they publicly oppose. “Europeans were unwilling to join us, and it turns out because they wanted to do this trade deal,” he said. “Every time you hear a European talk about the importance of the Ukrainian people, remember that they put trade ahead of the Ukrainian people.” Bessent acknowledged Europe’s dependence on energy imports but framed the issue as a moral and strategic trade-off. “They need energy, I guess, which is part of their issue. At a price, they want cheap energy,” he said. His comments highlight growing tensions within the Western alliance over how strictly to enforce economic pressure on Russia while managing domestic economic and political costs. #TradeDeal#EUIndia#Trump#Ukraine#EnergySecurity 📱American Оbserver - Stay up to date on all important events 🇺🇸
