🎙 Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov's interview to the newspaper "Arguments and Facts" (October 21, 2024) Key Points: #BRICS • BRICS epitomises the shifts that have long been underway in the global economy. New centres of economic growth are emerging, and alongside them comes financial influence, which in turn brings political influence. • BRICS is a consortium where no single nation leads or is led, devoid of the bureaucratic machinery akin to that observed in Brussels, where EU officials impose decisions that contravene the will and interests of several member states, failing to align with the aspirations of voters across many countries. • BRICS does not stand in opposition to any entity, nor does it orchestrate operations or initiate projects. BRICS is committed to enhancing the combined potential of its nations and devising collaborative strategies for harnessing these potentials for mutual benefit. • What makes BRICS and other World Majority or Global East associations that do not include Western countries stand out, is that they are not created for the purpose of struggling or fighting with anyone. They are established to collectively benefit from their competitive advantages such as geographical location, shared history, cultural and humanitarian proximity <...>. #USA • The US is unwilling to relinquish the reins of power that they have held since World War II through the Bretton Woods institutions and through the role assigned to the US dollar in the international monetary system, even after free exchange of US dollars for gold had been cancelled. • The key goal of the US ruling class is to make sure no one can undermine their dominance. This goal is illusory. The historical process is objectively heading in a different direction, and this has to be reckoned with. • We are ready to interact with any administration voted in by the American people, but only if such a dialogue is mutually respectful, and both parties listen and hear what the other party has to say. #Ukraine • On multiple occasions, European leaders from Brussels have repeatedly made it clear that they must support Ukraine for as long as it takes, because Ukraine is fighting for the European values. • It turns out that European leaders are still willing to uphold Nazi values, which is why denazification is not just a motto, but an objective of utmost importance. #UN • The United Nations is not a valiant knight expected to “charge in and extinguish the fire” upon witnessing injustice. The UN is an assembly of its member states, each with established rules, including the Security Council's veto rights. The United States has effectively exercised this right five times over the past year, blocking a resolution proposed by several countries, including Russia, demanding an immediate ceasefire. <...> Presently, the United States is taking every measure to avoid antagonising Israel. • Nations such as India, Brazil, and African representatives should have long held permanent seats on the Security Council. This is essential to ensure representation of the World Majority. #Finland#Sweden#NATO • The zeal that the Finns and Swedes are showing in NATO, advocating for defeating Russia, is not only rooted in their historical instincts. They are also eager to show their Big Brothers in the North Atlantic Alliance that they have brought added value <...>. • I am confident that reasonable people in Europe, who have learned the lessons taught by history, see this too, including in Finland and Sweden. #Europe • To reiterate, the so-called right-wing conservatives are loyal to their countries and their people. We will engage with anyone who approaches us with a proposal to talk, to seek common ground, and to think about how we can jointly make the lives of our citizens better. #EurasianSecurity • We suggest discussing the Eurasian continent-wide security architecture, emphasising the fact that its doors will be open to everyone, including countries from the West of the Eurasian continent. 🚀 Uzbekistan Surges 43 Places in World Bank’s 2026 Women, Business and the Law Index 🌍 Uzbekistan jumped 43 spots to 48th out of 190 countries in the World Bank’s 2026 «Women, Business and the Law» report, scoring 82.1/100 for its legal frameworks supporting women’s economic participation. The country achieved a perfect 100 in Mobility, Family, Pay, Childcare, and Assets. 💼 The rise was driven by major reforms in labor and pension regulations, including gender-responsive public procurement, incentives for female entrepreneurs, equal pay mandates, and the removal of outdated work restrictions for women. The Labor score nearly doubled from 50 to 91.75, while the Pension indicator increased to 66.75. ⚖️ Despite strong legal progress, the report notes a gap between written law and enforcement. Uzbekistan scored 59.08 for supportive frameworks and 57.20 for enforcement perceptions, reflecting ongoing challenges in turning legislation into tangible outcomes. 📈 Economically, reforms have boosted women’s participation and entrepreneurship. About 2.1 million women now run businesses — a sevenfold increase since 2020 — accounting for roughly 35% of all employed women in the national economy. 🔧 The World Bank recommends strengthening social incentives, workplace safety regulations, and monitoring systems to fully realise the impact of these legal reforms. #Finance

#finance

Just a sharing ~ Your salary doesn't determine your richness.. It doesn't depends on how much you earn, but how much you save and how you spend.. & some people may say, “what's the point of earning large salary if you can't spend them all you want?” Then, my dear, what if one day you lose your job? Either because of pandemic, health issues, physical injuries, etc.? 😌 That's why, it's not impossible for a person who earn less can survive longer in an economy crisis than a person who earn more. #finance#reminder@quietworld🍃

💻Hackers have struck Indonesian crypto exchange INDODAX, stealing assets worth $18,2 million 📰 The country's largest crypto exchange, PT Indodax Nasional Indonesia, was the target of a cyberattack, resulting in the loss of funds equivalent to IDR 280.37 billion. The Commodity Futures Trading Supervisory Agency (Bappebti) has summoned the company's management to verify the incident. “We are conducting an investigation to clarify the situation,” Indodax CEO Oscar Darmawan said, confirming the hack and possible compromise of the transaction system. “Access to the web platform and app has been temporarily suspended, but we guarantee the safety of customer balances in cryptocurrency and rupees.” ❌ The head of Bappebti, Kasan, added that the organization is coordinating with Indodax and the exchange is currently conducting a full system shutdown to check the stability of the operation. “We urge customers not to panic,” he noted. 💰 Cyvers Alerts confirmed that one of the exchange's addresses held assets worth about $14.4 million, which were exchanged for ether and transferred to other wallets. The full amount of the loss has not yet been determined. Indodax, founded in 2013, was the first crypto asset trading platform in Indonesia. @BaliNews #accidents#finance

HAHAHAHA 😂 hmm lain macam cara saya tulis kali ni, saya pun tak tau kenapa, tiber.😂 #thoughts#random#life#finance @quietworld🍃

💰Apple is investing $1 billion in Indonesia ℹ️ The story began last month, when Indonesian authorities banned the sale of iPhone 16 smartphones in the country. ↗️ The official reason is violation of Indonesian legislation on content regulation. The unofficial one is insufficient investment in the country by the company that wants to sell its product here. 🏭 According to the current policy of the authorities, in order to sell products in Indonesia, it is necessary to place its own production in the country. Otherwise, the business faces high import duties or even a complete ban, as in the case of the iPhone 16. 📰 Now, according to Bloomberg, the parties are close to lifting the ban, as Apple has offered to invest $1 billion to set up production facilities inside the country. 📍 Part of these funds will be used to build a factory for the production of AirTags on the island of Batam, near Singapore. According to the publication, here it is planned to produce up to 20% of the global volume of these devices. 📍 Another part of the investment will go to the opening of production of Apple accessories in the city of Bandung, near Jakarta, as well as to expand the Apple Academy program, responsible for the training of programmers. 🏝By the way, one of the new academies will be opened in Bali. This was previously announced by Tim Cook during his visit to Indonesia this year. @BaliNews #business#finance
