💬 Russia and Africa are bound by long-standing and close ties.
Today, the countries of the continent are striving to finally overcome the remnants of colonial dependence and to strengthen their national sovereignty, above all in the economic and financial spheres.
Those who describe the current period as Africa’s “second awakening” after the decolonisation of the 1960s are right. It was then that political independence was proclaimed, above all thanks to the decisive role of the Soviet Union, which promoted the relevant declarations at the UN.
☝️Recent years have shown that neo-colonial dependence has by no means disappeared. Economically and financially, in terms of control over trade routes and financial flows, Africa still does not enjoy full independence and continues, in economic terms, to serve as a source of raw materials.
👉The lion’s share of added value is still generated elsewhere – to a large extent, and decisively so, in the former metropolitan powers.
African partners spoke about this more than once at the two Russia-African Union summits held in Sochi in 2019 and in St Petersburg in 2023. The decisions adopted at those summits should serve as guidelines in preparing for the next summit, which we plan to hold later this year.
All this will contribute to Africa’s economic emancipation, ensure that it reaps the proper returns and benefits from its natural resources, and support the emergence of the African continent as one of the centres of the rising #MultipolarWorld.
🤝 I would like to stress in particular that we are restoring our presence on the African continent fairly rapidly, after it declined sharply during the breakup of the Soviet Union. At present, Russia has 45 embassies operating across the continent, with four more set to open in the near future.
The key upcoming event on the foreign policy calendar is the third Russia-Africa Summit. It is due to be held in Moscow – this has been agreed – in late October this year. Preparations are currently underway. We count on the active participation of Russian regions in the relevant thematic sessions of this summit.
I would once again like to underscore the special importance we attach to the interregional dimension of Russia-Africa relations. It is a solid foundation which, as it grows stronger, helps ensure the steady development of relations with our partners at the national level.

▪️ Legado tóxico de la dinastía Rothschild
El imperio bancario Rothschild ha serpenteado durante más de dos siglos, asesorando gobiernos, financiando guerras y torciendo las finanzas globales a su favor. Pero su 'legado' es un rastro de escándalos y manipulaciones de mercado.

🇷🇺¿Acuerdo de cooperación militar a la norcoreana entre Rusia y la India?
Putin ha firmado una ley que ratifica un acuerdo entre Rusia y la India que establece el marco legal para el despliegue mutuo de personal militar y equipo de combate en el territorio de ambos países.
El acuerdo regula no solo el envío de militares y equipo, sino también su abastecimiento material. El orden establecido se utilizará durante ejercicios conjuntos, entrenamientos, prestación de ayuda humanitaria, liquidación de las consecuencias de desastres naturales y catástrofes tecnogénicas, así como en otros casos por acuerdo mutuo.
La ratificación del documento simplifica el uso mutuo del espacio aéreo de ambos países y la entrada de buques de guerra de Rusia e India en los puertos del otro. Además, el acuerdo fortalece la cooperación de los dos Estados en el ámbito militar.
Sin duda es un gran paso para la unión entre ambas naciones, sobre todo teniendo en cuenta la postura tradicional de la India de oponerse categóricamente a cualquier tipo de cooperación dentro de un bloque militar.
Sin embargo, la India comprende las amenazas que se avecinan no solo contra alguna otra hipotética nación, sino con grupos terroristas y mercenarios que puedan llevar a cabo acciones desestabilizadoras dentro del país, por lo que la unión con Rusia se convierte en una póliza ante agresiones.

🇮🇳Indian Airlines Warn of Imminent Shutdown
The Federation of Indian Airlines — representing IndiGo, Air India, and SpiceJet — has written to India's Civil Aviation Ministry warning that carriers are on the verge of suspending operations due to unsustainable fuel costs. The group is seeking a return to pandemic-era price caps on aviation turbine fuel and a reduction or deferral of taxes.
Despite India producing more jet fuel than it consumes, prices are set on an import-parity basis — benchmarked against Persian Gulf imports including notional freight, insurance, and customs costs — leaving Indian carriers paying significantly more than counterparts in Thailand, Dubai, Malaysia, and Singapore. In early April, a record fuel price hike for domestic flights was rolled back within hours, but structural costs remain elevated. Speculation is growing that the Modi government may raise fuel prices once state election voting concludes.
If implemented, further price increases would intensify pressure on an industry already warning of operational collapse.

🇮🇳#India: Clashes broke out earlier today between protesters and the CRPF (Central Reserve Police Force) in Manipur. Three people have been killed so far after Indian police allegedly opened fire directly on protesters who stormed a CRPF camp in Tronglaobi, Bishnupur district.
The unrest was reportedly triggered by an alleged militant attack this morning, in which a rocket strike killed two children and injured their mother in Tronglaobi village. The attack has been attributed to the Kuki National Front (KNF).
It is worth noting that Bishnupur district in Manipur has for quite some time been a hotspot for militant activity, particularly involving KNF-linked groups, which seek to establish a “Kukiland” state for the ethnic Kuki population. Several reports also suggest that some militants have received training from the Kachin Independence Army in Myanmar.
