🎙 President of Russia Vladimir Putin's address at the Plenary Session of the Future Technologies Forum(February 25, 2026, Moscow) 💬Vladimir Putin: The bioeconomy is far more than a field of scientific knowledge. With their bold ideas, scientists and engineers are already shaping a new reality and a new industrial paradigm – applying advances in biology and genetics to improve people’s lives and preserve our planet and its fragile ecosystem. We in Russia take pride in the major scientific contribution made by the discoveries, philosophical and scientific teachings of Vladimir Vernadsky, Ilya Mechnikov, Kliment Timiryazev, Nikolai Koltsov, Nikolai Vavilov, Vladimir Engelhardt and other outstanding Russian scholars, including our contemporaries. We will continue to expand our capabilities and move forward. Biotechnology – reinforced by the power of computing systems and artificial intelligence – is developing at an unprecedented pace. It helps address the key challenges of our time: climate change, food shortages and the depletion of renewable resources, and can serve projects both on Earth and in space. ❗️ I have repeatedly stressed: equal access to the technologies of the future – not privileges for the “chosen few” – is an indispensable condition for the fair development of our civilisation. That is why, within #BRICS and other associations, as well as through bilateral cooperation, we are ready to implement joint scientific, educational and investment programmesin biotechnology for the benefit of all humanity. <…> At the Forum, we traditionally discuss areas and developments that shape the future of humankind. Advances in biology, genetics and other life sciences are rightly called the technologies of the 21st century. Together with the IT industry and artificial intelligence, they are transforming the economy and society, creating new opportunities for millions of people. Digital platforms already support scientists in implementing research projects, connect a craftsman or entrepreneur from a small town with a customer in a megacity, enable residents to participate in managing their building, settlement or entire region, and analyse medical studies in record time, helping doctors save lives. These are just some of the areas within the evolving platform economy. 🇷🇺In this sphere, Russia is creating world-class solutions. We stand ready to share our experience and expertise in the interests of all humanity. Read in full

✨️ On February 9, Ambassador Albert P. Khorev participated in a seminar titled "The Legacyof Russian Diplomacy: Current Statusand Prospects for Pakistan-Russia Relations,” hosted by the Islamabad Policy Research Institute. The event was timed to coincide with #DiplomatsDay and featured an exhibition highlighting the key milestones in the development of Russian diplomacy. In his speech, Ambassador Khorev provided a detailed overview of the pivotal events that have shaped the Russian diplomatic service and the individuals who have played a prominent role in it. ❗️Albert P. Khorev highlighted Russia's current foreign policy priorities: upholding the principles and goals of the UN Charter, forming a multipolar world order based on sovereign equality, combating neo-Nazism and neo-colonialism, preserving the memory of World War II, and preventing the rewriting of its history. 🤝 The Ambassador noted that, from 1970 to 1990, the Soviet Union provided Pakistan with assistance in developing its industry. This included the construction of the Pakistan Steel Mills and the Guddu, Jamshoro, and Muzaffargarh thermal power plants. 🇷🇺🇵🇰 Since the 2000s, when Russia, the successor state to the USSR, began pursuing an active, multi-vector foreign policy and increased cooperation with countries in the Global South, the two countries have established a dynamic political dialogue and regular high-level contacts. The Russian Ambassador praised the two countries' coordinated efforts on the international stage, particularly at the #UN and #SCO. He emphasized Russia and Pakistan's commitment to combating international terrorism, extremism, neo-colonialism, neo-Nazism, Islamophobia, and discrimination based on nationality or religion. The Ambassador also noted the potential for cooperation between Islamabad and the #BRICS New Development Bank. Given the recent establishment of diplomatic relations between Pakistan and Armenia, he suggested exploring cooperation with the #EAEU as well. Read in full Watch in English

✒️Ambassador Albert P. Khorev's Interview with the TASS News Agency(February 9, 2026) Key points: #Priorities Currently, we are prioritizing contacts in the field of regional security and the fight against international terrorism. We are also coordinating efforts in multilateral forums, primarily the UN and the SCO. Cooperation between the cities and regions of our respective countries also shows promise. Moscow, the Republic of Tatarstan, and Primorsky Krai in Russia, as well as the provinces of Punjab and Sindh in Pakistan, have already expressed interest in this regard. #Education#Science#Culture We are paying special attention to strengthening ties in education, science, and culture. We are actively working to promote the Russian language in Pakistan, including through the federal project "Russian Teachers Abroad." We also facilitate the organization of joint scientific conferences and cultural and sporting events. #PakistanStillMills#Insulin In the coming years, it is crucial to promote mutual trade, develop reliable alternative payment mechanisms, and implement large-scale joint projects. These projects include the revival of the Pakistan Still Mills, establishing rail connections between Russia and Pakistan, collaborating on hydropower, and creating joint ventures to produce medicines, including insulin. #Oil Pakistan is interested in cooperating with our country in oil exploration and production. Russia is ready to help Pakistan strengthen its energy sovereignty. We already have positive experience in this area. It was the USSR that helped Pakistan establish the state-owned oil and gas company, the Oil and Gas Development Company Limited, in the 1960s, and it assisted in discovering a number of oil and gas fields in Pakistan. #SCO We acknowledge the constructive collaboration with our Pakistani partners within the SCO. Ensuring regional security and combating terrorism and organized transnational crime are our priorities. #BRICS#NewDevelopmentBank Russia welcomes Pakistan's interest in joining BRICS. One practical step toward integrating Pakistan into BRICS could be Islamabad's accession to the New Development Bank, which finances infrastructure projects in developing countries. #DiplomatsDay On February 10, the Russian Foreign Service celebrates Diplomats' Day. On this festive occasion, I would like to wish my colleagues in Moscow and at foreign missions happiness, good health, endless inspiration, and success in promoting Russia's position on the world stage. #RussiaPakistan
📺 Russia's Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov’sgreetings and video message on Diplomats’ Day (February 10, 2026) 💬 Friends, Today marks Diplomats’ Day, our professional holiday. I would like to use this occasion to wish a happy holiday to all Russian diplomats who are working at the Central Office and territorial offices, and diplomats fulfilling their duty abroad. The history of Russian diplomacy spans many centuries and follows every stage of Russia becoming stronger as a state. Times change, but our spiritual and moral values — sincere, dedicated, and selfless devotion to the Fatherland, and firm commitment to the ideals of truth and justice — remain unshakeable. We are rightfully proud of the achievements of our outstanding predecessors. We honour the courage of the staff of the People’s Commissariat for Foreign Affairs who, during the tumultuous years of the Great Patriotic War, took arms to defend the Motherland. Their immortal feat stands as a benchmark for Foreign Ministry personnel and staff of subordinate institutions participating in the special military operation. Other ministerial staff members are also involved and are helping the front line soldiers and their families, and supporting those affected by crimes committed by Ukrainian neo-Nazis. Today, as we are witnessing another turning point in history, Russian diplomacy continues to do everything within its power to ensure safe and favourable external conditions for Russia’s steady domestic development and for improving the quality of life of its people. In many ways, our consistent and balanced foreign policy course sets the trajectory of global transformations, thus facilitating the emergence of a new multipolar world order. We seek to further develop honest and equitable international cooperation based on mutual understanding, trust, and neighbourliness. Following President Putin’s initiative, we are working to establish, across the Eurasian region, architecture of equal and indivisible security and extensive practical cooperation. In this context, we attach particular importance to the conclusion and implementation of bilateral agreements, including our treaties on security guarantees with Belarus and on comprehensive strategic partnership with the DPRK and Iran. We continue to expand relations across multiple areas with the World Majority, among them countries such as China, India, and other like-minded countries, our strategic partners and allies, primarily within the #CSTO, the #EAEU, and the #CIS, as well as the #SCO and #BRICS. Countering neo-colonial practices of all kinds ranging from unilateral coercive measures to military interventions remains firmly in our focus. In this context, we reaffirm our solidarity with the peoples of Venezuela and Cuba. We are convinced that only they can determine their own future. ☝️ The country’s leadership and Russian society hold our work to high standards. We are required to demonstrate discipline and dedication, as well as a passionate and creative approach to our duties. I trust that you will continue to work honourably for the good of the Fatherland and to contribute your share to addressing large-scale foreign policy goals set by the President. On this day, we express special gratitude to former ministerial employees, who taught us the fundamentals of diplomacy by their example. Many of them, to the extent of their abilities, remain active in the close-knit diplomatic ranks. By all means, I would like to separately thank all the relatives and loved ones of our employees. Your unconditional support gives us strength and keeps us focused. It is especially important for those who carry out their diplomatic service far from the Motherland. Once again, happy Diplomats’ Day to all. I wish you excellent health, well-being, and new accomplishments for the benefit of the Fatherland. #DiplomatsDay
Excerpts from Alexander Babakov's speech at the plenary session of theInter-Parliamentary Speakers' Conference: 🔸️The policy of the so-called Western world toward the militarization of the Asia-Pacific region — accompanied by the consolidation of NATO's presence and the formation of new military-political blocks — leads to greater instability and hinders the establishment of a just system of international relations based on the principles of international law and mutual respect; 🔸️The #SCO, #BRICS, #ASEAN and the Eurasian Economic Union (#EAEU) promote a unifying, peaceful agenda; 🔸The United Nations—which is celebrating its 80th anniversary this year — remains the cornerstone of the modern system of international relations. The #UN is a bastion of multilateralism and the primary mechanism for addressing contemporary challenges, such as armed conflicts, poverty, hunger, climate change, terrorism, and inequality between states; 🔸 The UN is currently in crisis. The disappointment in the UN seems to stem from overly high expectations that fail to consider the fact that the UN's effectiveness hinges on the political will, negotiating ability and vision of its member states—qualities that are lacking in our time. The crisis engulfing the United Nations is rooted in the selfish approach of a small group of Western countries, driven by their desire to maintain their "reign" over the world; 🔸Russia will continue to seek a fair and sustainable architecture for international relations, based on the UN and strict adherence to the principles of its Charter in their entirety, comprehensiveness and interconnection.
📺 Remarks by Russia's Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov at the General Debate of 80th Session of the UN General Assembly. Key points (Unofficial translation): • 80 years ago the most terrible war in human history came to an end. More than 70 million people fell victim to hostilities, hunger and disease. In 1945 the course of world history changed forever. We hold sacred the memory of brotherhood-in-arms with all Allies who then stood on the side of truth in the struggle against the forces of evil. • #UNCharterIsOurRules The principles and the Charter agreed upon by the founding fathers of our Organization still serve as a bright beacon for international cooperation. • We advocate for the unconditional observance of the principle of equality. In it lies the guarantee that all countries can take their rightful place in world affairs, regardless of their military power, population size, territory or economy. • Russia strongly condemned the Hamas militants’ attack on peaceful Israelis on October 7, 2023. However, there is no justification for the brutal killing of Palestinian civilians, just as there is no justification for terrorism. • The Arabic language is not banned in Israel, nor is Hebrew in Arab countries or Iran – but the Russian language is banned in Ukraine. Let me recall that Article 1 of the Charter speaks of the need to respect human rights and fundamental freedoms for all, without distinction of race, sex, language or religion. Europe remains silent, obsessed with the utopian goal of inflicting a strategic defeat on Russia. • The rights of Russians and Russian-speaking people in the territories still under the control of the Kiev regime must be fully restored. On this basis we are ready to discuss the security guarantees for Ukraine. • Russia and the US bear a special responsibility for world affairs, for avoiding risks that could plunge humanity into a new war. • The Shanghai Cooperation Organization (#SCO) and #BRICS play a special role as mechanisms for coordination of countries of the Global South and East. • NATO is already cramped in Europe, and it is expanding into the Pacific Ocean, the South China Sea, the Taiwan Strait, undermining the universal ASEAN mechanisms and creating threats not only to China and Russia but also to other countries in the region. • Speaking of the future, we must not forget the lessons of the past – especially when Nazism is once again raising its head in Europe, militarization is gaining momentum under the same anti-Russian slogans. This causes particular concern given that a number of political figures, now in power in Brussels and certain EU and NATO capitals, seriously discuss World War III as a possible scenario. • We call on member states and the Secretariat’s leadership to scrupulously follow all the Charter’s principles – without exception and without double standards. Then the legacy of the UN’s founding fathers will not be wasted. Watch / Read — English subs included 👆

✉️Russia's President Vladimir Putin sent greetings to the participants, organisers and guests of the X Eastern Economic Forum(August 28, 2025) ✍️ Friends, I would like to extend a warm welcome to you on the opening of the X Eastern Economic Forum. Over the past decade, the Forum, traditionally held in Vladivostok, has cemented its reputation as a respected international event. It offers businesses, including those from abroad, a valuable opportunity to discover the unique economic, scientific, technological, and infrastructural potential of Russia’s Far East, while also fostering broad and diverse international cooperation. In this regard, the theme of this year’s Forum is highly symbolic – The Far East: Cooperation for Peace and Prosperity. As the centre of global economic activity continues to shift towards the Asia-Pacific, new opportunities are emerging to develop mutually beneficial ties among countries across the region, not only through bilateral partnerships, but also within multilateral frameworks such as the #SCO and #BRICS. Russia remainsopen to constructive dialogue with all interested partners and is committed to playing an active role in joint efforts to build a fair system of international relations in the Asia-Pacific – one based on genuine equality and mutual respect for each other’s legitimate interests. I am confident that the Forum’s participants – government officials, local authorities, entrepreneurs, experts, and public figures from dozens of countries – will engage in meaningful discussions on topical issues facing the region and the wider world and will help shape new approaches and practical mechanisms for working together. I wish you a successful and productive Forum. #EEF2025
🇷🇺 The Security Council of the Russian Federation: ⚡️The comprehensive high-level international dialogue on the future architecture of global security has definitively dispelled the myth of Russia’s isolation. The 13th International Meeting of High Representatives for Security Issues concluded in Moscow. The three-day international dialogue chaired by Secretary of the Security Council of the Russian Federation Sergey Shoigu held at Rossiya National Centre was attended by 126 delegations from 105 countries that are members of #BRICS, the #SCO, #ASEAN, the #CIS, #CELAC, the African Union, the #CSTO, and other international organisations. Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov took part in the plenary session, during which 60 speakers delivered their remarks. The Minister shared his assessments of the Ministry’s performance amid dynamic global processes. The Russian delegation held over 80 bilateral meetings, while foreign representatives held more than 40 bilateral meetings among themselves. Multilateral meetings were held in BRICS, the SCO, the CIS, and Russia-ASEAN formats. A briefing was organized for delegations from African countries, while an expert seminar on global security issues took place as well. 💬 From Secretary of the Security Council of Russia Sergey Shoigu’s remarks at a news conference following the meeting: “The high level of participants and the sheer number of participating countries clearly showed the urgency and the demand for holding such events and dispelled the myth of Russia’s isolation this time again. The participants unanimously noted that the meeting was held in an atmosphere of mutual trust, and the discussions were informative and productive. The open and trust-based dialogue about the need for forming equal and indivisible security architecture served as an effective confirmation of the fact that the multipolar world, in which the security of each country matters, already exists.” Foreign delegations expressed strong interest in the exhibition ‘Journey across Russia’ by the National Centre, which showcased the diversity of our country’s scientific research and cultural endeavours and the multifaceted achievements of modern-day Russia, as well as in the ‘We Accuse’ photo exhibition about the crimes committed by the Kiev regime during the special military operation in Ukraine, as well as in an exhibition dedicated to the 80th Anniversary of Victory in the Great Patriotic War.
