🔤🔤🔤🔤🔤🔤🔤🔤🔤 Actions Bring Results, Not Just Things We Buy We often think that buying new things/courses etc. will help us take action. But if that were true, exercise bikes wouldn’t just be used as coat racks😅😅😅😅 Buying things does not help us take action! Building habits helps. Habits are the best way to get results. It’s about learning to have regular activities. Let’s focus on building good habits instead of just buying things! Расскажите о том, как вам удалось развить привычку делать что-то? Заниматься спортом, учить язык, быть mindful….. #General_notes

Любопытная информация. The proportion of the population that speaks three languages varies across Europe. Northern European countries lead in this regard, with 44% of Finland's residents and 43% of Norway's residents being able to communicate in at least three languages. The highest percentage is found in the small nation of Luxembourg, where 51% of the population is multilingual. Countries like Slovenia and Switzerland also show significantly higher rates of multilingualism, while Greece, Hungary, and Poland have only 2% of their populations speaking three languages. It's important to recognize that multilingualism is shaped by various factors, including educational systems, cultural diversity, and historical influences. Nations that prioritize language education and provide opportunities for exposure to multiple languages, such as Finland and Norway, typically have a greater number of polyglots. Conversely, countries that place less importance on language learning may see lower rates of multilingual speakers. #General_notes

У меня к вам вопрос. How long have you been learning English? Since school, university, or even since childhood? Can you speak English confidently and fluently? If yes, I am happy for you. If your answer is no, let’s figure out why. Your attempts to learn English will not lead to success if you do not know your goal. If you do not know what you are doing and why, you will stay in one place. At some point, you may just give up on learning the language. Before you start or continue learning English, understand what your goal is. When we clearly understand our motivation, we find time to study even in a busy schedule. We do not give up after the first failure. When you know the topics and situations where you need the language, you remember new words much faster, and even grammar does not seem boring or difficult. Knowing your goal helps you measure your results. You decide for yourself what "speaking fluently," "having a rich vocabulary," or "speaking like a native" means. You set a deadlines to achieve it. А каковы ваши цели в изучении языка? Where do you use it or plan to use it? Обсудим?:-) #General_notes#My_lessons

Наткнулась на интересную информацию. Делюсь с вами😄 Millennials believe that a midlife crisis is not affordable for them. Unlike past generations, who sought sports cars and sudden romances, 81% of millennials feel they cannot afford such "luxuries," according to a study by the Thriving Center of Psychology. Their crisis is not about fearing old age but about losing meaning in life. They question the value of their success. Reasons include: 🔹 Millennials earn 20% less than baby boomers did at their age. 🔹 They face student debt and high housing costs. 🔹 They are delaying families and big purchases due to economic instability. The crisis has changed. It doesn’t require spending millions. An impulsive purchase, a job change, or a vacation can suffice. Millennials now prioritize freedom and peace of mind over money, focusing on finding meaning instead of just spending😅😅😅😅 Больше, как обычно, в источнике на английском. Учите язык! #General_notes

Zoomers have buried capital letters in their messages. Without them, the text appears more relaxed and creates a sense of a live conversation, reflecting the opinions of the youth, according to The Guardian. This trend has long gone beyond school chat groups on social media: Billie Eilish often writes the titles of her songs in all lowercase, and Spotify uses lowercase for some playlist titles. By doing this, artists and platforms aim to create a vibe of openness and trust. Больше, как обычно, в первоисточнике на английском по ссылке. Remote Work – afriend or a foe? As discussions about returning to the office continue, it's important to consider what employees really want. Remote work offers many benefits, such as increased freedom and reduced stress, but it also has challenges like social isolation and blurred boundaries between work and personal life. Here are key factors that affect remote work: 1. Communication Leanness Lack of non-verbal signals (like tone and gestures) can lead to misunderstandings and conflicts. Employees may feel less supported by their colleagues and managers. ✔️ Tip: Use video calls instead of just text messages. This helps convey emotions and build trust. ✔️ Tip: After important meetings, send a brief written summary to ensure everyone is on the same page. 2. Asynchronicity While working at different times can be convenient, it can slow down information exchange and lead to message overload, causing stress. ✔️ Tip: Clearly separate synchronous (real-time) communication, like calls, from asynchronous communication, like chats. ✔️ Tip: Set clear deadlines for responses to avoid delays in work processes. 3. Technical Complexity Complex digital tools can increase stress and reduce productivity, as employees spend time troubleshooting instead of focusing on tasks. ✔️ Tip: Choose user-friendly tools that are easy to navigate. ✔️ Tip: Provide regular training sessions and create internal guides to help employees use technology effectively. 4. Flexible Connectivity The ability to work from anywhere can blur the lines between work and personal life, leading to burnout. Employees may feel they need to be online all the time. ✔️ Tip: Establish clear work hours, such as “no messages after 6 PM,” to help maintain boundaries. ✔️ Tip: Encourage “digital detox” periods where employees can disconnect from work completely. 5. Spatial Distance Lack of face-to-face communication can lead to social isolation and a decrease in team spirit. Informal interactions are important for engagement. ✔️ Tip: Organize virtual coffee breaks to foster casual conversations among team members. ✔️ Tip: Encourage informal chats in messaging apps to maintain connections. 6. Out-of-Office Location While remote work offers freedom, it can also lead to distractions and unsuitable working conditions. ✔️ Tip: Provide employees with the necessary equipment to create a comfortable home office. ✔️ Tip: Support a hybrid work model, allowing employees to split their time between the office and remote work. Stay connected and balanced! 🌟 Сталкивались с подобным на удаленке? Как вы создавали комфортные условия в команде? Делитесь опытом в комментариях! #Business
