📹 Russia's Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov’s video message to the participants in the 6th BRICS+ Young Diplomats’ Forum (August 28, 2024) 💬 I would like to begin by offering my heartfelt greetings to the participants in the 6th Young Diplomats’ Forum which is taking place in the #BRICSplus format. It was the Foreign Ministry’s Council of Young Diplomats that initiated the first event of this kind in Ufa as part of Russia’s 2015 chairmanship. Since then, this platform has emerged as an effective tool for promoting horizontal ties between the BRICS foreign ministries. It is worth noting that Ufa, the capital of Bashkortostan, has been selected to host the 2024 meeting. It stands at the crossroads of civilisations, and people representing various religions, creeds and ethnic groups have been living here in peace and harmony for many centuries. This offers a vivid example of the way ethnic, religious and cultural diversity can serve as a foundation for promoting long-term development and sustaining mutual understanding. #BRICS countries have been relying on these very principles in their relations. 👉 The Forum’s main topic is The Role of Young Diplomats in Strengthening Multilateralism for Fairness in Global Development and Security. It covers a wide range of major issues for BRICS states, as well as for other like-minded countries. I welcome the fact that all partners share the association’s approaches to working together when responding to present-day global challenges. BRICS attracts more and more attention, which is a clear sign that our aspirations to build a fairer global architecture in international relations are aligned with deep-running and objective geopolitical shifts. The Global Majority has been very receptive to this vision, which demonstrates that what we do together is highly relevant and important. I am certain that your forum will contribute in its own way to strengthening the comprehensive partnership, atmosphere of friendship and trust between our countries and their people. 🌐 I wish all the participants every success, good health and fruitful work. ⚡️Foreign Intelligence Service of the Russian Federation: The Press Bureau of the Foreign Intelligence Service of the Russian Federation (SVR) reports that, according to intelligence received by the SVR, France under President Macron is frantically seeking opportunities for a “political revanche” in Africa. Indeed, in recent years Paris has suffered what can only be described as significant “losses” on the continent – namely, the rise to power in a number of former French colonies of patriotic forces that prioritize the interests of their peoples and refuse to act as puppets of France’s financial and political globalist oligarchy. Whether inspired by the US operation aimed at capturing the President of Venezuela Nicolas Maduro or imagining himself an arbiter of African destinies, Macron has authorized his special services to launch a plan to eliminate “undesirable leaders” in Africa. 🇧🇫France’s involvement in an attempted coup in Burkina Faso on January 3 has already been established. Fortunately, the plot was thwarted. The mutineers had been tasked with assassinating President Ibrahim Traore, one of the leading figures in the struggle against neocolonialism. According to Paris’s calculations, this would not only have brought pro-French forces to power in Ouagadougou, but also struck a blow against all supporters of sovereignty and the ideology of Pan-Africanism across the continent. Despite the failure of this criminal scheme, the refined racists in Paris are not giving up. Their focus is on destabilizing “undesirable countries” in the Sahara–Sahel zone by using local terrorist groups and, of course, the Ukrainian regime, which supplies militants with drones and instructors. 🇲🇱The main strike in this campaign is aimed at Mali. Attacks on fuel tankers, attempts to blockade Malian cities, and terror against civilians all serve one purpose – to create conditions for the overthrow of President Assimi Goïta. Paris continues to look for ways to sow chaos in the Central African Republic as well. 🇲🇬Another target of France’s destructive attention is Madagascar, where in October 2025 forces came to power that set a course towards developing relations with #BRICS. Paris is working out ways to overthrow the country’s new President Michael Randrianirina and to “restore a loyal regime”. In essence, France has shifted to directly supporting terrorist groups of various kinds, making them its principal allies in Africa. 🪱This makes the political bankruptcy of Macron’s strategy all the more apparent, as it has failed to rid France of its image in Africa as a parasitic metropole that exploits former colonies and stifles their development. #StopColonialism

• Presidenti i Rusisë, V.V.

#BRICS#Internationalpolitics#Pakistan EN SAVOIR PLUS (ENG) ✅@NewEasternOutlookFR

🎙Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov's remarks at a meeting of the Supervisory Board and Board of Trustees of Foreign Ministry’s MGIMO University(Moscow, April 23, 2026) 💬 I would like to note MGIMO leadership’s efforts to preserve Russia’s historical and diplomatic heritage. Not long ago, the latest two-volume edition of The History of Diplomacy was published, introducing previously unused archival materials into academic circulation. Projects aimed at popularising the scholarly legacy of the internationally renowned historian and first head of MGIMO’s Department of the History of International Relations Yevgeny Tarle and the first director of MGIMO Ivan Udaltsov deserve the highest praise. 2025 marked the 80th anniversary of Victory in the Great Patriotic War of 1941-1945. The university’s faculty made an invaluable contribution to preparing materials for a number of books and articles devoted to inextricable link between the outcomes of the Second World War and the modern-day international relations system. ☝️We will continue working to preserve historical memory and to prevent the attempts to distort Russian and world history. On April 19, Russia marked the Day of Remembrance for the Victims of the Genocide of the Soviet People for the first time. Russian diplomacy will consistently seek international recognition of the crimes committed by Nazis and their accomplices against Soviet civilians of all ethnic backgrounds as genocide. I am positive that MGIMO’s specialized departments, with their extensive track record in historiographical research and the defence of national interests at the present stage of global development when Nazism, particularly in Europe, is once again rearing its ugly head, will find a niche of their own in this work. Such efforts can seamlessly complement MGIMO’s activities in promoting Russian education and the Russian language internationally, as well as strengthening mutual understanding and trust between nations, primarily in the near abroad. The opening in 2025 of MGIMO's branch in Kazakhstan came as an important milestone in this regard with 100 undergraduate and master’s students studying at MGIMO-Astana. 🤝MGIMO’s push to diversify ties with its partner universities in Asia, Africa, and Latin America deserves every support it can get. The signing of a memorandum of understanding between MGIMO and Hanoi State University in May 2025 in the presence of Russia’s and Vietnam’s top leaders was a signature event. We support MGIMO’s plans to launch its first academic programme at its new Hanoi branch in 2025. We also welcome the efforts to gradually resume partner programmes leading to dual degrees. The fact that such work is underway primarily with the university’s partners from the #GlobalMajority countries fully reflects current geopolitical realities. Importantly, universities from China, our great eastern neighbour, with which our relations continue to strengthen across all areas, are among MGIMO’s partners. Prospects are good for establishing similar arrangements with our friends from the #BRICS countries.

🎙Media statements by Russia's President Vladimir Putin following Russian-Indonesian talks(June 19, 2025) 💬Vladimir Putin: Mr President, ladies and gentlemen. It is with great pleasure that we welcome the President of the Republic of Indonesia to Russia. President Prabowo Subianto’s official visit coincides with his participation in the St Petersburg International Economic Forum. We are grateful to the President for accepting our invitation and for his forthcoming address at tomorrow’s Forum plenary session, which this year is dedicated to the theme “Shared Values as the Foundation of Growth in a Multipolar World.” Mr President visited Russia on multiple occasions, including during his tenure as the Minister of Defence of his country. Last July, we met with him in Moscow, after his election as the head of state. I would like to emphasise that Indonesia is one of our key partners in the Asia-Pacific region. Our relations continue to develop steadily on a mutually beneficial basis, grounded in longstanding traditions of friendship and mutual assistance. 🤝 This year marks the 75th Anniversary of diplomatic relations between our nations. At that time, our country played an active role in the establishment of Indonesian statehood and the strengthening of the young Republic’s international standing. <...> Many facilities built during that period continue to operate successfully to this day, benefiting the Indonesian people. Russia is committed to the progressive development of cooperation and relations with Indonesia across all sectors. Russia played a significant role in facilitating Indonesia’s accession to #BRICS as a full member. We welcome Indonesia’s assumption of membership rights effective January 1. Given Indonesia’s weight and influence in contemporary global politics and economy, this step was undoubtedly the correct one and will bringsubstantial added value to both BRICS and all its cooperation mechanisms. Today’s talks were substantive. We discussed a broad spectrum of current issues of bilateral cooperation, as well as key topics on the international agenda. The declaration on strategic partnership, which we approved with Mr President following the talks, sets out ambitious and responsibleobjectives for deepening Russian-Indonesian relations across multiple domains, with particular emphasis on trade and economic cooperation. Several intergovernmental agreements and interagency arrangements were also concluded. I would like to emphasise that Indonesia is one of our leading South Asian foreign trade partners. 📈 Last year, bilateral trade was up by 2.5 percent at $4.3 billion, and in the first four months of this year it grew by another 40 percent. <...> We are also open to cooperation with our Indonesian partners in harnessing peaceful nuclear energy. This could include joint projects using nuclear technologies for non-energy purposes in medicine and agriculture, as well as training personnel for Indonesia’s national nuclear industry. We have an interest and are willing to collaborate in many high-tech sectors, such as outer space exploration, digitalisation, smart city technologies, and artificial intelligence. We are actively cooperating in the cultural and humanitarian sphere. <...> We are working on projects in the professional training as well with over 500 Indonesian students studying in our country. <...> 🌐 We certainly also discussed pressing issues on the international agenda. We noted that our countries’ positions on most of them either coincide or are very close. Our nations uphold the principles of the rule of international law and sovereignty, and we jointly advocate peaceful and sustainable development of the Asia-Pacific region. We also coordinate joint efforts at the UN and other international platforms. I would like to once again highly commend today’s productive work with Mr President. Undoubtedly, this visit will further strengthen the entire framework of Russian-Indonesian strategic partnership for the benefit of our peoples. Read in full 🇷🇺🇮🇩#RussiaIndonesia
