New feature : the bot can FINALLY extract splitted rar archives (.partX.rar) 🥳 yeah it took a long time anyway, enjoy that (.rXX files might work as well btw) also fixed an issue where the bot failed to extract archives with non standard characters in their comments, you will not get an upload message/progressbar if the file is under 50 Mb, less messages are edited/sent which results in faster sending of files and less FloodWaits sent by Telegram thx BlackStone for the remark 🫶

You guys might notice that the bot is finally responsive, and even faster than a week ago. Well a lot of things have been going on recently and I want to be 100% transparent with you. Quick recap : - Bot hosted on Heroku for FREE since nearly 3 years (GitHub Student pack ftw 💪) - Knowing it wouldn't last forever so I was seeking for a VPS - Got a good Hetzner VPS for 8 months for testing, went flawlessly - Got suddenly reminded about the credits expiration December 1st - *panic* As I already explained this month is going to be pretty tight on budget so all these sudden changes weren't planned. So in a hurry, I moved the bot to the Hetzner server, as I had there a test bot which worked just fine for months. But little did I knew 🥹 With massive load (there's so many people using this bot), the server wasn't ready. It started to take huge time to answer requests, hours to upload even the smallest files, and be overall very unstable. I was needing for a solution. First, I reminded you about donations (since I recieved over the past 3 years $0 at the time this happened and I really needed this), more on this later. Then, I implemented limits (disk space and RAM was already implemented, only CPU was left to do). And I also fixed several problems with the bot and thread-blocking code. But yesterday night, I did another switch : from a shared to a dedicated Hetzner VPS. Yes, it costs a lot (28.79€/month instead of 15.72€, twice the amount), but I will be billed on January 05th so it's going to be somewhat okay. (also I have extra expenses for IP address, and potentially more storage and bandwidth output) The new server have : - Dedicated 4 cores, very good for extracting stuff - 16 Gb of RAM, so there's nothing to worry about - 150 Gb of storage for now, can be expanded later on Over that time, I recieved a total of 17€ (still have to be transferred to my account), it is really nice from you and it covers half of this month server expenses (not counting the Heroku overlap). the bot should be a bit more responsive now, but requests times out when sending files above 10/20mb. be aware of that. don't clean the task, just be patient please, it will eventually upload :) to be fixed soon edit : the bot still shits itself. it's time to help me

TL;DR : the bot NEEDS your help to continue being alive ❗ this is very exceptional, for this month only and don't think "oh someone else must have already donated", no they didn't

⚠️IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT⚠️ after some issues with Heroku and me totally forgetting the end date of the education help, plus financial issues for the end of the year, I'm forced to do the bot migration to my server ahead of time this wasn't planned at all so some hiccups might appear benefit : no restart unless you guys mess up, also more RAM and faster CPU issue : 2 times smaller disk space for now the bot is available again, although it might have a lot of problems for the upcoming days ❗ I hate to do this once again, but I URGE YOU TO DONATE, even 1$ (links at the end of this message) I can handle it for now but every amount of money helps, especially for disk space and even just affording the servers (which are better than what we had previously) this month is going to be very tough for me so really any help is more than appreciated 🥹

the bot was vulnerable to command injection

update (again) : ✅ there's a guarantee of no restarts because we overflow the RAM (still a restart daily because Heroku) 👨‍💻 also commands executed on the terminal are nicely managed and no longer some hackish workaround 😂 ⏰ finally, getting the duration on videos is fixed 🖼️ ️and the thumbnail should be generated much more reliably. if you see the bot image instead, that is a sign that the video stream is corrupted at some point ⚠️for fork owners : the bot was vulnerable to command injection, update yours to fix this tag 7.0.3a have been pushed

okay it should be fixed by now once again monitoring this over the next two days
