🦤 The Great Bustard Has Returned to Uzbekistan In early November 2025, one of the rarest birds of Uzbekistan and the world — the Great Bustard — returned to the country for wintering. 📍 More than 50 individuals are currently staying in the Farish and Gallaorol districts of Jizzakh region. Some of these critically endangered birds have even been captured on video — truly rare and valuable footage. As part of the Great Bustard conservation program in Uzbekistan, the Bird Protection Society of Uzbekistan continues to: conduct weekly monitoring of the population and threats; hold educational talks in schools of Jizzakh region; organize public hearings with active hunters to prevent illegal hunting of bustards. ❗️ Important to note: The Bird Protection Society of Uzbekistan is the only public environmental organization in the country that consistently advocates for the protection of the Great Bustard — the largest and rarest bird species in Uzbekistan. The future of the Great Bustard in Uzbekistan — and its global population — largely depends on our actions today. This is our shared contribution to protecting endangered species that may disappear tomorrow. ☘️Read the latest environmental news on the @ekologuz page. Axolotls, also known as Ambystoma mexicanum, get their name from the Aztec language Nahuatl, meaning "water monster" or "water god." According to legend, they are the earthly form of Xolotl, the Aztec god who transformed into a salamander to avoid sacrifice. These creatures are famous for regenerating limbs, hearts, and even parts of their brains. They stay in their juvenile form for life, a trait called neoteny. In the wild, axolotls are critically endangered, with fewer than 1,000 left in Mexico’s Xochimilco and Chalco lakes. Habitat loss, pollution, and invasive species like tilapia are major threats. Conservation efforts are underway to restore their habitat and protect them from extinction. 🦎🌍💧 [Read more] If you have one as a pet, feel free to share with us! @googlefactss #Axolotl#WaterGod#EndangeredSpecies#Regeneration#Neoteny#Conservation#Wildlife#Mexico#Amphibians
