Yet, these offers have been consistently rebuffed due to the looming threat of sanctions from the United States, should the Lebanese government choose to accept assistance from these nations. This serves as a painful reminder that Lebanon currently lacks a President, largely because the ruling elite, functioning as the de facto government, are merely puppets under the control of foreign powers. A question frequently posed is why Hezbollah does not simply take control of the situation. The answer lies in the complex nature of Lebanese politics. Despite the desires of many, both within and outside Lebanon, for Hezbollah to assume governance, the political bloc of Hezbollah has steadfastly refused. Their decision is rooted in a principled stance to avoid any actions that could lead to civil war, internal strife, or conditions that might invite foreign intervention. So, are we destined to remain under the control of this U.S.-aligned elite? The answer to this question will only become clear after the war with Israel reaches its conclusion.

At 1:30 am in #Lebanon the Israeli occupation committed a massacre in Wadi al-Kafour town south #Lebanon after targeting a steel factory and the residential builing facing it where the workers of the factory live with their families, most of whom are workers from the Syrian nationality. 10 martyrs rose, including children. 3 Syrian nationals and 1 Sudanese national were seriously wounded as a result of the raid on Wadi al-Kafour, Nabatieh governorate. Israel thinks it kills without impunity, but they just made another grave mistake in Lebanon which their settlers will have to pay for.
