Young Irish mum of three says the ambience in Ballymena has improved significantly and it feels like a weight has been lifted now that all the Roma gypsies are gone after a number of houses were burnt out last week. "It's been the right move for us in Ballymena, the tension is completely gone. Kids, especially in the Harryville area, are allowed to go out and enjoy their parks, roam around freely and feel safe like they should have been." 🔗 tiktok.com🔗 tiktok.com 👉🏻join Late Stage Ireland

There was an issue this afternoon with a group of Georgians from the surrounding IPAS centres lighting a fire for a birthday party in Priorswood Park in Coolock. @Dublinvideos2023 was on his own at the time but they've since been persuaded of the danger. 🔗tiktok.com🔗tiktok.com 👉🏻join Late Stage Ireland

The Waterford & Star News opted not to picture "Waterford man" Elroy Kalu (with an address in Dublin), who along with two minors imprisoned, tortured and robbed a random student. They only got four years as the judge gave them concurrent sentences for each of the charges. >CCTV footage showed the victim taken from the SETU campus on the Cork Road before travelling to Tramore, while they intimidated him into giving them money from his Credit Union account. >The victim was then taken to Wyse Park, where in a sustained attack, the group beat him, waterboarded him, and forced him to drink urine off the ground. >They filmed the incident and broadcast it on the victim’s Snapchat, which is how his friends and family were alerted that something was wrong. They then forced him to give them his shoes, socks, and earrings, leaving him to walk home barefoot. >After the attack, the group used the defendant’s digital bank card to purchase food for themselves. 👉🏻join Late Stage Ireland

Newstalk now reporting the story from last week that the US State Deparment is considering travel bans for Irish officials enforcing EU "hate speech" codes. "So Ireland is in a bit of a tight spot in relation to all of this... obviously we have a deadline of the 7th of July to decide what we're going to do with hate speech legislation." "It’s very clear from speaking to people in the State Department this week that there is definitely a bit of pressure on the Irish government to think carefully about what it’s doing with regards to implementing certain speech codes that would be in line with Brussels—particularly on hate speech and the regulation of speech online, especially on social media platforms. "It's probably going to have some profound implications for Ireland's diplomatic relations and ties with America." 🔗newstalk.com 👉🏻join Late Stage Ireland

An African male exposing himself outside the Grand Hotel IPAS centre in Wicklow Town, last night and again this morning. When gardaí finally arrested him, a local says he could be heard shouting "this is racist" while being handcuffed. Another remarked "I just want to say a huge thank you to the lady that let me into her car this morning and gave me a lift home, from outside the grand hotel. I was in such shock that I didn't even ask for her name. I really appreciate what you did for me." 🔗facebook.com 👉🏻join Late Stage Ireland
