The most famous of these is Klyuchevskaya Sopka, which at an impressive 4,750 metres is the highest active volcano in Eurasia. 💧 Kamchatka is famous for its unique geysers. The Geyser Valley is one of the most amazing places in Russia and the world. This small area is impressively rich in hot springs. 🐻 The region’s diverse nature supports a variety of ecosystems and wildlife, including brown bears, bighorn sheep, reindeer and sea lions. Kamchatka bears are particularly large and numerous. 🐟 Kamchatka has earned a reputation as the salmon capital of the world, with its rivers and lakes teeming with this type of fish. Every year millions of salmon come to spawn, making it Russia's largest fishing centre. 🏞 Kamchatka is proud of its many nature reserves, which cover almost 30 per cent of its total area. The most famous of these are the Kronotsky Nature Biosphere Reserve and the South Kamchatka Federal Game Reserve, both of which are on the UNESCO World Heritage List. 🌿 Kamchatka is also famous for its rich flora. Forty rare and endangered plant species are found around mineral hot springs and fumaroles, four of which are endemic to Kamchatka. #RussiaDay2024

🇷🇺🇪🇹 On June 10, Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrovmet with Foreign Minister of the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia Taye Atskeselassie on the sidelines of the #BRICS Foreign Ministers meeting in Nizhny Novgorod. The discussion focused on key areas for enhancing mutually beneficial bilateral cooperation, trade, economy, science, technology and humanitarian ties. Moscow and Addis Ababa reiterated their commitment to strengthening political dialogue and close coordination of approaches within the #UN and #BRICS, including in the context of the Russia’s BRICS presidency. The two Ministers held a confidential discussion on engagement at the UN and other international organisations. Detailed discussions were held on conflicts in Africa, with a specific emphasis on the situation in the Horn of Africa. #RussiaEthiopia

❗️Совместное заявление Министров иностранных дел/международных отношений стран БРИКС(Нижний Новгород, 10 июня) 📄Полный текст 1. Министры иностранных дел/международных отношений стран #БРИКС провели 10 июня 2024 года заседание в Нижнем Новгороде, Российская Федерация. Они обменялись мнениями по основным глобальным и региональным тенденциям и вопросам. Они вновь подтвердили приверженность укреплению стратегического партнёрства БРИКС по трём магистральным направлениям – политика и безопасность, экономика и финансы, культурные и гуманитарные связи. Они вновь подтвердили свою приверженность духу БРИКС, подразумевающему взаимоуважение и взаимопонимание, равенство, солидарность, открытость, инклюзивность и консенсус. <…> 5. Принимая во внимание вторую Йоханнесбургскую декларацию 2023 года, Министры выступили в поддержку всеобъемлющей реформы #ООН, включая её Совет Безопасности, с целью повышения её демократичности, представительности, эффективности и действенности, а также увеличения представленности развивающихся стран во всех категориях членства в Совете, с тем, чтобы он мог надлежащим образом реагировать на текущие глобальные вызовы, и поддерживают законные устремления развивающихся стран Африки, Азии и Латинской Америки, в том числе стран БРИКС, играть более значимую роль в международных делах, в частности, в ООН, в том числе её Совете Безопасности. Они также признали законные устремления африканских стран, отраженные в консенсусе Эзулвини и Сиртской декларации. <…> 15. Министры признали негативное влияние на мировую экономику и устойчивое развитие односторонних подходов, нарушающих международное право. Они выразили обеспокоенность по поводу применения односторонних принудительных мер, несовместимых с принципами Устава ООН и оказывающих негативное воздействие на экономический рост, торговлю, энергетику, здравоохранения и продовольственную безопасность, особенно в развивающихся странах. <…> 32. Министры вновь обозначили свои национальные позиции в отношении ситуации на Украине и вокруг неё, озвученные на соответствующих площадках, включая Совет Безопасности ООН и Генеральную Ассамблею ООН. Они с признательностью отметили соответствующие предложения о посредничестве и добрых услугах, направленные на мирное разрешение конфликта через диалог и дипломатию. <…> 34. Министры выразили глубокую озабоченность ухудшением ситуации на оккупированной палестинской территории, в частности, беспрецедентной эскалацией насилия в секторе #Газа в результате военной операции Израиля, приведшей к массовым жертвам среди гражданского населения, большому количеству беженцев и разрушению гражданской инфраструктуры. В связи с этим они призвали к действенной реализации соответствующих резолюций ГА ООН и резолюции 2720 СБ ООН и к немедленному, безопасному и беспрепятственному предоставлению необходимой гуманитарной помощи непосредственно палестинскому гражданскому населению на всей территории сектора Газа <…> 36. Министры подтвердили, что принцип «африканским проблемам – африканское решение» должен и впредь служить основной для урегулирования конфликтов на Африканском континенте. <…> 40. Министры решительно осудили любые террористические акты как преступления, не имеющие оправданий, независимо от того, когда, по какой причине и кем бы ни совершались. Они решительно осудили бесчеловечный теракт 22 марта 2024 года в «Крокус Сити Холле» в Москве <…> 54. Министры выразили полную поддержку председательству Российской Федерации в БРИКС в 2024 году под девизом «Укрепление многосторонности для справедливого глобального развития и безопасности». Они выразили приверженность совместной работе с целью обеспечения успешного проведения XVI саммита БРИКС. Министры с нетерпением ожидают следующее заседание Министров иностранных дел/международных отношений стран БРИКС, которое состоится «на полях» 79-й сессии ГА ООН под руководством Бразилии как следующего председателя в БРИКС в 2025 году.
