Scientists are working on real invisibility technology. 🫥 They use special materials called metamaterials to bend light around objects, which makes them appear invisible. Some cloaks can hide objects from certain waves like microwaves, while others can hide heat or sound. Most systems only work for specific angles or wavelengths. A real human invisibility cloak does not exist yet. If it will ever come to that, will remain to be seen. 🫥🔬🌈👁️ [Read more] @googlefactss #Invisibility#Science#Technology#Metamaterials

Scientists uploaded a digital version of a fruit fly brain and connected it to a virtual body. The uploaded brain model contains about 125,000 neurons and over 50 million synapses based on real brain mapping data. In a physics simulation, the virtual fly showed behaviors like walking and moving using signals from the uploaded brain. Researchers say work like this could be an early step toward possible human brain uploads. 🧠🪰💻 [Read more] @googlefactss #science#ai#neuroscience#technology#brain#research#simulation

The internet is estimated to weigh about 50 grams, equivalent to a strawberry, based on the weight of the electrons used in electricity for data transfer. This does not account for the much larger physical weight of servers, cables, and data centers that support its infrastructure. @googlefactss#technology [read more....]

When downloading a PDF, if it ends with .exe, delete it. It's probably a virus. The .exe extension indicates it is an executable file designed to run on your computer, and you should not open it. @googlefactss#technology#tips#funfact

If a website is blocked on your work/school internet, you can use Google translate as a proxy. Just copy/paste the URL into it. This method works because it loads the page through Google's servers, which can bypass certain network restrictions. However, the technique may not display dynamic content, like videos or interactive elements, correctly. @googlefactss#technology#nowyouknow#funfact#tips
