German students staged a massive protest in 90 cities against the reintroduction of military conscription, declaring they would "rather live under Putin's rule than go to war," according to German media. 🔻As reported, the Bundestag is discussing a system where, starting in 2026, all 18-year-olds will receive forms with a QR code: mandatory for young men, optional for young women. While initially voluntary, a transition to selective conscription is planned if there is a personnel shortage. • Призывать в армию (imperf.) [pri-zy-vat' v ar-mi-yu] = • Призвать в армию (perf.) [pri-zvat' v ar-mi-yu] To call upinto the army / to conscript But, guys, ... what if Putin doesn't come???🤔 #news #politics #useful_vocabulary 😎RCR | Support | Boost

Who/what is the ЧУДО-ЮДО ПОГАНОЕ in Russian fairy tales? 🐲 CHUDO-YUDO POGANOYE (CYP) is a negative character in Russian folk tales and epics, a Slavic heroic epic. It often appears as a multi-headed dragon (3, 6, 9,12). The eldest in the family has a fiery finger capable of reattaching severed heads. The number of tails of, a СYP is the same as the number of heads. 🐲 It lives underwater in a palace, relatives live with it, its mother, its wife, its brothers. It can't fly, so it often rides into battle on horseback. CYP is often confused with Змей Горыныч (Zmey Gorynych). 🐲 It comes from across Смородина река (theCurrant river) on Калинов мост (the Kalinov Bridge). Sometimes the СYP is depicted as an outlandish marine animal controlling the water element. According to one version, the Smorodina River is the border between Reality and Unreality (Other world). 🐲 Later, the meaning of the word CYP spread to land monsters and even heroes in the sense of huge, strong or scary. For example, ▶️Чудо-юдо рыба-кит is mentioned. ▶️Иван - крeстьянский сын и Чудо-Юдо (to read in Russian) ▶️Иван - крестьянский сын и Чудо-Юдо (to listen in Russian) Video: Ri00 #russian_culture #Russianfolklore #RussianFairytales #mythology 😎RCR | Support | Boost

🥂 Выпьем на брудершафт? 🔻The Russian phrase на брудершафт [na broo-der-shaft] has a fascinating German origin and a very specific social meaning. 🔻It comes from the German Brüderschaft trinken– literally, to drink to brotherhood. 🔻This custom was adopted into Russian aristocratic circles in the 18th-19th centuries. 🔻Drinking на брудершафт was a formal ritual to transition from the polite, distant Вы (formal you) to the close, familiar ты (informal you). 🔻The traditional ritual involved: 1. Linking arms. 2. Drinking a glass of wine or champagne together. 3. Kissing three times (often on the cheeks). 4. From that moment on, the two people would address each other only as ты and become very close friends. So, to drink на брудершафт is to drink to a new level of friendship! 🤝 #brief_and_interesting #etymology #russian_culture #useful_vocabulary #spoken_Russian 😎RCR | Support | Boost

⚽️World Record: The Highest Football Match in History • Играть в футбол (imperf. preposition В + accus.) [ig-rat' (f) foot-bol] To play football 🔻On October 1, 2025, extreme athlete Sergey Boytsov set a world record for an event that redefined "the beautiful game." 🔻A massive 16x10 meter platform—complete with real goals, artificial turf, and a penalty box line—was lifted into the sky by a hot air balloon. No one had ever lifted such a gigantic structure before. The total weight, including players and equipment, exceeded 2.5 tons. The engineering was so complex it required four different design bureaus to complete. 🔻The match itself took place at an altitude of about 1,800 meters. Sergey Boytsov and Mikhail Litvin battled for the ball, with Viktor Chalov refereeing. It had everything: goals, disputes with the referee, and even an improvised post-match press conference. 🔻After the final whistle, the athletes unfurled a Russian tricolor flag—a symbol of unity and love for the motherland. A true feat of engineering, sport, and national spirit! 💓 ▶️Играть В 🆚️ Играть НА #brief_and_interesting #news #verbs 😎RCR | Support | Boost
