The initiative includes marches, assemblies, and cultural activities, with a final event scheduled in Caracas on April 30. Government officials, including Delcy Rodríguez and Jorge Rodríguez, led opening mobilizations, while sectors of the moderate opposition also expressed support. According to the report, US sanctions (first intensified in 2017) have targeted key industries such as oil, contributing to an estimated $25 billion in annual revenue losses and limiting Venezuela’s access to international financial markets Click here to explore the full gallery 👉🏽https://shorturl.at/DZmpu #Sanctions#USVenezuelaRelations

#Sanctions

🖊OPINION | US Imperialism Enters a New Stage: The Left Needs to Take a Close Look at It Steve Ellner takes stock of a new stage of US imperialism and the role of the Left in challenging its advance. The column states that US foreign policy has placed Iran, Venezuela, and Cuba in a “de facto state of war,” marked by sanctions, military measures, and enforcement actions. It cites the January 3, 2026 kidnapping of Venezuelan President Nicolás Maduro and Cilia Flores, alongside expanded US monitoring and interdiction of oil shipments. At the same time, it argues that the Left must reassess its analysis, give greater weight to resistance against US aggression, and frame its criticism of governments within the context of sustained external pressure. 🖊OPINION | US Sanctions on Venezuela Continue: Corporate Beneficiaries and a Targeted Society The US continues to maintain its sanctions framework on Venezuela, with no formal rescission of measures. Instead, limited authorizations are issued through licenses by the Treasury’s Office of Foreign Assets Control, allowing specific transactions that would otherwise be prohibited. In this opinion piece, Roger Harris explains how the Trump administration is leveraging Venezuela sanctions to benefit Western corporations. 🖊🗞OPINION | Trump Might Not Invade Venezuela Yet, but What He Is Doing Is Worse While military options remain on the table, the United States is ramping up economic pressure against the Venezuelan population. In this opinion column, solidarity activist Michelle Ellner examines tighter restrictions on Venezuelan oil exports and increased actions affecting Venezuelan-linked tankers, arguing that these measures are intended to cut off the country’s main source of revenue. 🖊🗞OPINION | US Blockades Venezuela in a War Still Waiting for an Official Rationale Solidarity activist Roger D. Harris examines Washington's ever changing imperialist arguments as it directly targets Venezuela. On December 16, Trump announced a blockade of Venezuelan oil tankers and ordered airspace around Venezuela closed. US actions included seizing a tanker, striking boats, and building up naval forces. Venezuela responded by deploying naval escorts, while China, Mexico, Brazil, BRICS countries, Turkey, and others condemned the escalation. 📑🖊 OPINION | What July 5th Taught Me That July 4th Never Did Michelle Ellner, a Venezuelan-American activist and CODEPINK campaigner, reflects on what July 5th in Venezuela taught her that July 4th in the U.S. never did. While the U.S. commemorates its independence with celebrations, Venezuela’s July 5 marks an ongoing struggle for sovereignty — one met with sanctions, asset freezes, and foreign interference. Ellner recalls the 2002 U.S.-backed coup against Chávez and a broader campaign of economic warfare that continues under Nicolás Maduro. “True independence,” she writes, “is the right to choose your own path without being punished for it.” Read the full opinion piece here: https://shorturl.at/wTnKc #Sanctions#USVenezuelaRelations
