✍️ Comment by Russian Ambassador to South Africa Roman #Ambarovpublished by TV BRICS media outlet on August 6, 2025 Currently, more than 2️⃣0️⃣0️⃣South Africans are studying in higher education programs in Russia. This includes those who enrolled through the quota provided by the Russian Government to South Africa, as well as those studying on a contractual basis. In addition to Moscow and St. Petersburg, local applicants choose universities in Saratov, Tambov, Astrakhan, and Kursk. Russian higher education is in demand in fields such as medicine, engineering, mathematics, and computer science. A degree earned in Russia is highly valued, even though in some fields graduates must have their qualifications recognized before they can work in South Africa (for example, medical professionals — due to South Africa’s unique geographic and climatic conditions). Some of the students who decide to pursue higher education in Russia receive co-funding from South Africa’s Department of Higher Education and Training. The support is based on certain criteria, one of which is the obligation to return home and work for a certain period after completing their studies. Indeed, many South Africans dream of studying in Russia. Allow me to share a heartwarming story of one such dream that came true 👇 Benedict, a resident of the “New Jerusalem” orphanage in Midrand, who lost both parents and spent 11 years in the orphanage, had a strong desire to study in Russia. She took part in online Russian language courses organized by Saint Petersburg State University specifically for interested South African residents. In 2024, she applied for admission to the Patrice Lumumba Peoples’ Friendship University of Russia#RUDN and was accepted. As a full orphan, she could not afford airfare or living expenses in Moscow. However, the Russian community in South Africa, which has long supported the orphanage, stepped in to help. Benedict is now in Moscow. She has already completed the preparatory program at Gubkin Russian State University of Oil and Gas and will soon begin her main studies at RUDN.

🚀 Uzbekistan Surges 43 Places in World Bank’s 2026 Women, Business and the Law Index 🌍 Uzbekistan jumped 43 spots to 48th out of 190 countries in the World Bank’s 2026 «Women, Business and the Law» report, scoring 82.1/100 for its legal frameworks supporting women’s economic participation. The country achieved a perfect 100 in Mobility, Family, Pay, Childcare, and Assets. 💼 The rise was driven by major reforms in labor and pension regulations, including gender-responsive public procurement, incentives for female entrepreneurs, equal pay mandates, and the removal of outdated work restrictions for women. The Labor score nearly doubled from 50 to 91.75, while the Pension indicator increased to 66.75. ⚖️ Despite strong legal progress, the report notes a gap between written law and enforcement. Uzbekistan scored 59.08 for supportive frameworks and 57.20 for enforcement perceptions, reflecting ongoing challenges in turning legislation into tangible outcomes. 📈 Economically, reforms have boosted women’s participation and entrepreneurship. About 2.1 million women now run businesses — a sevenfold increase since 2020 — accounting for roughly 35% of all employed women in the national economy. 🔧 The World Bank recommends strengthening social incentives, workplace safety regulations, and monitoring systems to fully realise the impact of these legal reforms. #Finance

#finance

Just a sharing ~ Your salary doesn't determine your richness.. It doesn't depends on how much you earn, but how much you save and how you spend.. & some people may say, “what's the point of earning large salary if you can't spend them all you want?” Then, my dear, what if one day you lose your job? Either because of pandemic, health issues, physical injuries, etc.? 😌 That's why, it's not impossible for a person who earn less can survive longer in an economy crisis than a person who earn more. #finance#reminder@quietworld🍃

💻Hackers have struck Indonesian crypto exchange INDODAX, stealing assets worth $18,2 million 📰 The country's largest crypto exchange, PT Indodax Nasional Indonesia, was the target of a cyberattack, resulting in the loss of funds equivalent to IDR 280.37 billion. The Commodity Futures Trading Supervisory Agency (Bappebti) has summoned the company's management to verify the incident. “We are conducting an investigation to clarify the situation,” Indodax CEO Oscar Darmawan said, confirming the hack and possible compromise of the transaction system. “Access to the web platform and app has been temporarily suspended, but we guarantee the safety of customer balances in cryptocurrency and rupees.” ❌ The head of Bappebti, Kasan, added that the organization is coordinating with Indodax and the exchange is currently conducting a full system shutdown to check the stability of the operation. “We urge customers not to panic,” he noted. 💰 Cyvers Alerts confirmed that one of the exchange's addresses held assets worth about $14.4 million, which were exchanged for ether and transferred to other wallets. The full amount of the loss has not yet been determined. Indodax, founded in 2013, was the first crypto asset trading platform in Indonesia. @BaliNews #accidents#finance

HAHAHAHA 😂 hmm lain macam cara saya tulis kali ni, saya pun tak tau kenapa, tiber.😂 #thoughts#random#life#finance @quietworld🍃
💰Apple is investing $1 billion in Indonesia ℹ️ The story began last month, when Indonesian authorities banned the sale of iPhone 16 smartphones in the country. ↗️ The official reason is violation of Indonesian legislation on content regulation. The unofficial one is insufficient investment in the country by the company that wants to sell its product here. 🏭 According to the current policy of the authorities, in order to sell products in Indonesia, it is necessary to place its own production in the country. Otherwise, the business faces high import duties or even a complete ban, as in the case of the iPhone 16. 📰 Now, according to Bloomberg, the parties are close to lifting the ban, as Apple has offered to invest $1 billion to set up production facilities inside the country. 📍 Part of these funds will be used to build a factory for the production of AirTags on the island of Batam, near Singapore. According to the publication, here it is planned to produce up to 20% of the global volume of these devices. 📍 Another part of the investment will go to the opening of production of Apple accessories in the city of Bandung, near Jakarta, as well as to expand the Apple Academy program, responsible for the training of programmers. 🏝By the way, one of the new academies will be opened in Bali. This was previously announced by Tim Cook during his visit to Indonesia this year. @BaliNews #business#finance
