🇷🇺🇦🇪📞 On January 27, Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrovspoke by phone with Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister of the United Arab Emirates Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan. The Foreign Ministers reaffirmed Moscow and Abu Dhabi’s mutual interest in the further progressive development of their comprehensive bilateral strategic partnership, based on the agreements reached at the highest level, in particular, during the talks between President of Russia Vladimir Putin and President of the UAE Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, which were held in Moscow in October 2024. The Ministers also discussed key aspects of the global and regional agenda, emphasising the latest developments in the Palestinian-Israeli conflict zone, the situation around Lebanon, and the current state of affairs in Syria, where the mobilisation of broad external efforts under the auspices of the UN is required to facilitate an inclusive national dialogue involving all political, ethnic, and religious Syrian forces. All members of the Russian delegation fondly remember our most recent visit to your country and the warm welcome we received in December 2023. All our agreements are fulfilled in full accordance with the level of our strategic partnership. 📈 Russia-UAE trade has tripled in the past three years. <...> Our relations are progressing across all sectors. Our mutual investment has reached the worth of $7 billion. Around 60 projects are funded by our sovereign funds, with a total scope of funding at $2 billion. Tourist exchanges between our countries are growing. We pay much attention to humanitarian cooperation, holding cross-days of Russian and Emirati culture. We also pay due attention to education.
