🗓On 21 April, Kazan 🇷🇺 hosted the 22nd ASEAN-Russia Senior Officials’ Meeting (#ARSOM). 🔹️The meeting was co-chaired by Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation H.E. Mr. Andrey Rudenko🇷🇺 and Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of the Union of Myanmar H.E. Mr. Hau Khan Sum🇲🇲. 🔹️Held in the context of the 35th anniversary of ASEAN-Russia relations, the meeting featured an in-depth discussion on advancing the ASEAN-Russia Strategic Partnership across political, economic, and socio-cultural spheres. Concrete steps were identified to further develop and diversify practical cooperation, including the launch of new joint mechanisms and projects. 🔹️Participants reiterated their shared intention to jointly address emerging challenges and threats, as well as to strengthen the ASEAN-led regional security architecture in the Asia-Pacific. Promoting cross-platform linkages between #ASEAN, #EAEU, and #SCO was also discussed. 🔹️On the sidelines of the ARSOM, H.E.
