Declaring this decision, US Secretary of State Antony Blinken said that the strikes will reach deeper inside Russia and the West will keep on adjusting its strategy. Fire (not the West’s stance) adjustment has been carried out by Washington for all these years, not only starting from 2022. The involvement of Western countries in destroying Ukrainian statehood and in direct hostilities against peaceful civilian population in Donbass is not a secret. #KoreanPeninsula The negative trends in the subregion are caused by the actions of the US. They consistentlyengage in military manoeuvres with their allies. These actions are attempts at intimidation under the guise of addressing the “North Korean threat.” <...> Washington forges a tripartite military alliance with Seoul and Tokyo, not only to target the DPRK but also to strategically constrain Moscow and Beijing.

📹Video address by Russia's President Vladimir Putin to participants in the opening ceremony of #BRICSSportsGames 💬Vladimir Putin: I am delighted to welcome participants and guests of the #BRICS Sports Games in Russia. For two weeks, the competitions will bring together over 3,000 athletes from almost 100 states. I am confident that this large-scale sports festival will demonstrate the triumph of universal values of sport, equal opportunities and an honest and uncompromising struggle. The hospitable, distinctive and unique Kazan and Moscow are hosting the BRICS Sports Games. These cities boast a rich history, a multi-ethnic culture and traditions. At the same time, these modern cities are gearing for the future. All this aligns with the spirit and nature of BRICS, an association of sovereign countries which are developing dynamically, yet retain their identity. They jointly address large-scale objectives and provide an example of truly partner-like and equitable relations, based on trust, strong friendship and respect for each other’s interests. ☝️ I would like to note that the Sports Games, held under the auspices of our organisation, are an important part of multilateral political, economic and humanitarian interaction. The role of BRICS in global affairs continues to increase rapidly. I am therefore confident that the Games, as a competition free from political interference and pressure that truly unites athletes from around the world, will become more popular and attractive. All the more so as they will be held in an open format for the first time this year. The Games will become yet another symbol of expanding inter-cultural dialogue, making a weighty contribution to strengthening friendship among nations and facilitating interstate interaction in the interests of people and universal development. I wish successful starts and brilliant victories to athletes and their mentors, and bright and unforgettable impressions to spectators and fans. I hereby declare the 2024 BRICS Sport Games open!

On June 11, 2024, Russian Embassy in Singapore hosted a state reception dedicated to the #NationalDay of the Russian Federation – Russia’s Day. Minister of State for Culture, Community and Youth, Minister of State for Trade and Industry, H.E. Mr. Alvin Tan attended the function as the Chief Guest. Among the guests were Members of the Parliament of Singapore, eminent representatives of business and social, scientific and cultural community, mass media along with Ambassadors and Military Attaches of foreign states and Russian compatriots. In his welcoming speech, Ambassador stressed that Russia remembers and appreciates that Singapore and other ASEAN countries were among the first to recognize the new Russia. He stated that thanks to this step, we have the opportunity today to look together into the face of the emerging new, fair, multipolar world. Ambassador continues mentioning that “even though large distances separate us, even though the natural and geographical conditions in which we have to live vary, even though we have different views with Singapore on the parameters of regional architecture and the genesis of the events in Ukraine, there is something very significant that connects us and is the subject of our common daily concerns”. “This connecting link is the mutual concern about the threats created by the arms race and the prospect of its spreading into outer space! This connecting link remains the common resistance to the dangers created by terrorism, transnational crime and the money laundering schemes that feed them! We rightfully consider our devotion to the ideals of building a drug-free world to be this connecting link! We consider our common efforts to guarantee international information security to be this connecting link, which would securely block the destructive use of the information environment! And finally, closer to the venue of our meeting today, we see such a link in cooperation for building an open and inclusive, free, predictable region based on the inviolable principles of ASEAN centrality”, he noted. “We invite you to take a closer look at the concept of the Greater Eurasian Partnership that we are promoting and to join the triptowards a new, common and indivisible formula for security in Asia and the Pacific as an alternative to conflicting Indo-Pacific concepts of the collective West. I am convinced that our cooperation has a bright future. It should contribute to the creation of a new world community free from the remnants of colonialism”, concluded the Ambassador.
