🗓On 21 April, Kazan 🇷🇺 hosted the 22nd ASEAN-Russia Senior Officials’ Meeting (#ARSOM). 🔹️The meeting was co-chaired by Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation H.E. Mr. Andrey Rudenko🇷🇺 and Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of the Union of Myanmar H.E. Mr. Hau Khan Sum🇲🇲. 🔹️Held in the context of the 35th anniversary of ASEAN-Russia relations, the meeting featured an in-depth discussion on advancing the ASEAN-Russia Strategic Partnership across political, economic, and socio-cultural spheres. Concrete steps were identified to further develop and diversify practical cooperation, including the launch of new joint mechanisms and projects. 🔹️Participants reiterated their shared intention to jointly address emerging challenges and threats, as well as to strengthen the ASEAN-led regional security architecture in the Asia-Pacific. 🗓 On May 28th, the 5th #ASEAN-Russia Consultations of the High Representatives for Security Issues were successfully held in Moscow 🇷🇺 on the sidelines of the 13th International Meeting of High-Ranking Officials Responsible for Security Matters. 🔹️ The meeting was co-chaired by Secretary of the Security Council of the Russian Federation H.E. Mr. Sergey Shoigu🇷🇺 and National Security Adviser to the State Administration Council, Union Minister of State Administration Council Chairman's Office-1 of the Republic of the Union of‌ Myanmar H.E. Aung Moe 🇲🇲. 🔹️ High-ranking officials from ASEAN Member States, Timor-Leste 🇹🇱 and ASEAN Secretariat attended the meeting. Mr. San Lwin. 🤝 Ambassador Zagaynov congratulated H.E. San Lwin for assuming his position as the DSG for ASEAN Socio-Cultural Community.
