🎥 Films by Russian director Andrey Porshnyak are scheduled to be screened at the seconds annual Thokoza Film Festival in South Africa 📍The festival will be taking place from 29 October to 2 November in the city of Thokoza in the north of the country. 🤝 The TV BRICS International Media Network will present a special programme with films from Argentina, Brazil, India, China and Russia. In particular, the films "Golden Coast of the Arctic" and "Heilongjiang: Zone of Sustainable Economic Development" by director Andrey Porshnyak, the Indian film "Water" by Diya Mari Shaju and Diya Futan, "Counterattack" by Brazilian Victor Uchoa and the Argentine film "My Brother Joaquin" by Luciano Giardino. 🇷🇺 The events of Andrey Porshnyak’s film "Golden Coast of the Arctic" took place in the very north in the city embraced by ice and endless tundra. One of the five largest gold deposits in Russia, Mayskoye, is located here. The reserves explored here will definitely be sufficient until 2032. As many years ago, people from the Mainland are helping to explore the permafrost territory. They come to the Golden Coast of the Arctic to find solutions to non-trivial problems in harsh climatic and geological conditions - to achieve something that is difficult for the average person to imagine even in theory. 🔗Link for Andrey Porshnyak’s film about the enigmatic and mystical Chukotka. https://tvbrics.com/en/shows/documentary-film-the-golden-coast-of-the-arctic/ #russianculture#BRICS#RussiaSouthAfrica

🎙 Russia’s Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov’s remarks at a solemn event on the occasion of Diplomatic Worker’s Day(Moscow, February 10, 2025) 💬 Our work on carrying out the foreign policy is highly appreciated by the country’s leadership. <…> On behalf of the ministerial staff, I would like to express appreciation for your unwavering attention to our activities, proposals, and needs. The trust in us places serious obligations on the Russian diplomatic service. Our duty is to do everything in our power to protect the interests of our country and people in the international arena. We are guided by the instructions issued by President Vladimir Putin, who sets forth our country’s foreign policy principles. We rely on many centuries of traditions of domestic diplomacy, our own knowledge, experience and common sense. ☝️ Today, just as throughout its millennial history, our country is navigating complex international processes. The combination of daunting challenges and breathtaking opportunities is a hallmark of the current phase of international development. The new is battling the old, and Russia - I think this high opinion is perfectly legitimate in these circumstances - is leading the way forward amid progressive forces advocating for international cooperation on a legal, mutually respectful and mutually beneficial basis in the best interests of common free development that is devoid of external diktat and coercion. <…> In no case should we freeze and hope that things will take care of themselves and everything will be like it used to be. We must look and move forward. Our active participation in the unions without “leaders” and “followers,” or “teachers” and “disciples” need to be the focus of our efforts. These unions include #BRICS, which has expanded and got stronger in the wake of Russia’s 2024 presidency, and the #SCO with its serious potential for strengthening cooperation to promote stability in Eurasia. The voice of other associations in the CIS, Asia, Africa and Latin America that focus on integration can now be heard louder in international affairs. These associations include our natural allies and partners. <…> ❗️Forming a broad space of peace and development in Eurasia, which is the world’s largest, resource-rich and rapidly developing continent, should remain our key area of focus. These efforts are facilitated by the objective formation of the Greater Eurasian Partnership through expanding trade and economic ties, carrying out infrastructure projects, and harmonising integration processes, primarily within the #EAEU, the #SCO, #ASEAN and China’s Belt and Road Initiative. <…> This year marks the 80th Anniversary of Victory in the Great Patriotic War. Preserving historical memory of the Great Victory, and fighting uncompromisingly against the masterminds of neo-Nazi ideology and falsifiers of history is our sacred duty before the generation of heroes who liberated Kiev and Odessa, and Berlin and Prague. <…> 👉 The fateful changes in the international balance of power have determined the urgent need for structural and personnel reform in the ministry’s system. <…> Analyse the results of the first stage of reforms. They include an additional Department for African Partnership and a reduction of one European department. Please, submit proposals for the next stage. <…> Ensuring the continuity of generations must remain our constant priority at historical inflexion points like the one we are having now. Passing experience from senior comrades on to young employees, who are just starting to work at the Foreign Ministry, is of particular importance. Read in full

🎙 Russia’s Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov’s remarks at a meeting with directors of Russian non-profit organisations (July 23, 2024) Key talking points: 🔹The role of public diplomacy has grown compared to the earlier period, primarily when it comes to maintaining a healthy atmosphere of confidence in relations with our foreign partners and explaining problems created by the West. 🔹 This applies to the the countries which we regard as unfriendly. I believe that we should use this term for governments, whereas the mood in the countries is largely determined by people’s lives and aspirations. I do not see any nation on the planet that would be unfriendly to our people in the first place. 🔹 I am aware that pubic organisations in Western countries somehow manage to maintain ties with some of their partners in Russia. This interaction is extremely important for keeping up relations at the level of civil societies and trying to understand each other. 🔹 We are beginning to see the outlines of a new multipolar world order. Nations around the world want to see their right to rule their destinies respected, and are searching for new ways of addressing various issues as alternatives to Western solutions. 🔹 The West is not ready to engage in mutually beneficial and equal cooperation. It has been seeking to hold on to its erstwhile standing which follows the path of irreversible, albeit slow, degradation. The NATO Summit in Washington provided yet another example of this process by adopting a declaration which once again emphasised the West’s unilateral approaches. 🔹 Today, Europe has been reduced to acting as Washington’s subject. Germany, for example, is the cornerstone of European politics and economy, but it still had to stomach the terrorist attacks against the Nord Stream pipelines which undermined its economic and social wellbeing. It had to pretend that this is the way it had to be. 🔹 The process of eradicating the centralised dictatorial model that America’s globalisation has morphed into will go hand in hand with regionalisation of economic processes. Preferably, in view of their interdependence with the global economy, the developments in Eurasia, Africa and Latin America ought to be coordinated and harmonised to a certain extent. #BRICS is quite capable of doing that. 🔹 We certainly believe that the United Nations remains a unique platform for universal cooperation that has no alternative. The UN Charter principles are relevant as never before. 🔹 I said earlier that Eurasia is emerging as an independent part of the multipolar and polycentric world. We are moving forward towards creating a Greater Eurasian Partnership, something that President Vladimir Putin mentioned 10 years back. Since then, this process has led to stronger ties between #EAEU, #SCO, and #ASEAN. 🔹 We trust that non-governmental and non-profit organisations will actively participate in these processes and continue to contribute to the overall efforts seeking to strengthen Russia’s position on the continent and around the world, including the promotion of the Russian language and our multiethnic culture. 🎙️ Interview with Deputy Foreign Minister of Russia Aleksandr Pankin for TASS (July 26, 2025) Key Points • Russia is committed to eliminating global inequality, aiming to ensure that African and other developing countries not only gain equal access to resources and financing, but also actively participate in the governance of various international institutions, including economic ones — so that their voices are heard. • Under the prevailing neocolonial practices of the West toward Africa, stable development and social progress on the continent are unattainable. This calls for a fundamental transformation of the global order and the democratization of international relations. African nations recognize and support Russia’s policy aimed at these objectives. • A paradoxical situation exists: the volume of capital flowing into African countries is effectively matched by capital outflows. In essence, this reflects the ongoing exploitation of Africa, particularly its natural resources, from which the local populations and governments receive minimal benefit. • Within the G20 framework, Russia and South Africa maintain strong coordination and mutual support. South Africa plays a constructive role in ensuring that the G20 remains a non-confrontational platform, enabling dialogue and consensus-building among all member states wherever possible. • The #BRICS agenda holds global relevance, and its countries also participate in the #G20. However, BRICS tends to offer more effective solutions due to the shared vision among its members. In contrast, the G20 faces challenges stemming from the divide between Western and developing nations, making compromise more difficult to achieve. #G20SouthAfrica

🇷🇺🇨🇳President of Russia Vladimir Putin held talks via videoconference with President of China Xi Jinping(February 4, 2026) 💬Vladimir Putin: I would like to personally congratulate you and the Chinese people, our friends on the New Year 2026 and the upcoming Spring Festival, which will usher in the Year of the Red Fire Horse. This symbol embodies strength, energy and a drive to move forward – qualities that characterize the ties between our countries. Regardless of the international environment, I am confident in their resilience and steady, forward-looking development across all areas. The #RussiaChina comprehensive partnership and strategic interaction areexemplary in nature. This year, we mark the 25th anniversary of the Treaty of Good-Neighbourliness, Friendship and Cooperation, which is fundamental to our relations. Its continued implementation undoubtedly serves the core interests of the peoples of both countries, contributes to strengthening truly comprehensive Russia-China cooperation and, most importantly, enhances the well-being of our citizens. 🤝 Taking this opportunity, I would like to reaffirm our strong support for all joint efforts aimed at ensuring the sovereignty and security of our two countries, their socio-economic prosperity and their right to choose their own path of development. Allow me to say a few words about the results of 2025. I believe we successfully commemorated the 80th anniversary of Victory in the Second World War in May in Moscow and in September in Beijing. The fact that we were together on those days demonstrated to the entire world our solidarity and the readiness of Russia and China to defend historical truth and to carefully preserve the memory of the heroic feat of our peoples, who restored peace on the planet at the cost of tens of millions of lives. China’s chairmanship of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization also concluded with substantial practical results, culminating in the summit in Tianjin. During our talks in Moscow and Beijing, we engaged in substantive discussions on key areas and outlined ambitious tasks for further deepening bilateral cooperation. At the governmental level, energetic, essentially day-to-day work is under way to implement these agreements. 📊Economic cooperation continued to develop steadily in 2025. Despite a slight decline – or rather, an adjustment of indicators – bilateral trade turnover has, for the third consecutive year, confidently exceeded the symbolic $200 billion mark. Russia ranks among the leading suppliers of energy resources to China. Our energy partnership is mutually beneficial and truly strategic in nature. We are maintaining an active dialogue in the field of peaceful nuclear energy and advancing high-technology projects, including in industry and space exploration. According to our data, trade in agricultural products has increased by more than 20%. As for the international situation, amid growing global turbulence, foreign policy coordination between Moscow and Beijing remains an important stabilizing factor. We stand ready to continue the closest coordination on global and regional issues, both bilaterally and across all multilateral platforms – including the #UN, #BRICS and the #SCO, among others – where the Russia-China tandem plays, in many respects, a key role. We wish success and, of course, will provide all necessary support to China’s chairmanship and to our Chinese friends within the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation Forum. Read in full

ESPERTO 🧐 Gli americani vogliono dettare i flussi finanziari globali. L’Oriente crea alternative, l’Occidente soffoca. Chi crollerà per primo? © André Vanzetti 🇮🇹 #geopolitica#dedollarizzazione#USA#BRICS
