#Announcement 🎙 The international essay competition the 2nd Open Dialogue “The Future of the World: A New Platform for Global Growth” is on-going, open to submission. Authors are invited to submit their analytical and conceptual works on one of the four topics: • Investment in People • Investment in Technology • Investment in the Environment • Investment in Connectivity To take part, you must register on the official project website and submit your essay using the special form. The deadline for submissions is December 26, 2025. All essays must meet the established content and formatting requirements. Authors of the best works selected for the shortlist by the Expert Council will be invited to take part in the Open Dialogue in person, which will be held in Moscow in April 2026. The winners will have the opportunity to participate in major international economic forums, including the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum (#SPIEF), June 3–6, 2026. The Open Dialogue “The Future of the World: A New Platform for Global Growth” is organized by the National Center “Russia” and the Intersectoral Expertise Center “Third Rome” with the support of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Russia, the Ministry of Economic Development of Russia, and VEB.RF.

#Announcement 🗓 On August 21, Russia’s Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrovwill hold talks with Minister of External Affairs of the Republic of India Dr. Subrahmanyam Jaishankar in Moscow. Russia and India have developed a special privileged strategic partnership based on mutual trust and respect. 🇷🇺🇮🇳 The core spheres of cooperation between our two countries include efforts to step up political dialogue in both bilateral and multilateral frameworks, as well as ensuring that agencies in charge of economic and financial matters, energy, arms manufacturing, science and culture work more closely together. Russia’s and India’s Foreign Ministers will pay special attention to the current and future avenues for promoting bilateral cooperation. They will also discuss the schedule for future contacts. The meeting’s agenda will focus on facilitating the emergence of transport, logistics, banking and financial links and chains that would be immune to any adverse pressures from unfriendly countries, while also increasing the use of national currencies in their mutual settlements. Expanding cooperation in transport, energy, agriculture, science and technology will also be on the meeting’s agenda. The Ministers will also coordinate their positions on the latest international developments, paying special attention to interactions within the #UN, #BRICS, the #SCO and the #G20. The substantive exchange of opinions between the two officials will also include topics related to shaping a security architecture with greater justice for all in the Asia-Pacific Region, as well as the situation in Ukraine and Afghanistan, and the Israeli-Palestinian conflict. Moscow and New Delhi view multipolarity as a core factor for maintaining balance of the world order that has taken shape over the past decades. #Announcement The registration for the Russian Language World Championship for Foreigners-2025 is now open. The Championship is an international contest and educational event that brings together teams from around the world to showcase their Russian language skills, ability to defend their point of view, engage in discussions, solve logical problems, work as a team, and demonstrate creativity. ℹ️ In order to participate, you must form a team of 5 people of 16–22 years of age, with each member having at least an A2 level of Russian language proficiency. The team must also have a coach (aged 21 or older) who will guide and support the team throughout all stages of the competition. Last year, the Russian Language World Championship for Foreigners brought together over 2’000 participants from all over the world, including countries like India, China, Greece, Vietnam and various Latin American nations. The final was held in "Tsarskoye Selo", with the team from Kazakhstan taking first place. 🌐 In 2025, teams will be grouped by geographic region: former Soviet countries, Africa, Asia, America, and Europe. The top ten teams that successfully complete the online stage will be invited to the final round in Moscow, Russia, to be held in December 2025. #Announcement 🗓 On May 27-29, 2025, in Moscow, Secretary of the Russian Security Council Sergey Shoigu will chair the 13th International Meeting of High Representatives for Security Issues. Invitations to participate in this forum have been extended to more than 150 states of the Global South and East, the #CIS, #CSTO, #EAEU, and #SCO countries, as well as to the leaders of more than 20 international organisations. The agenda of the 13th forum focuses on international security cooperation. ℹ️ The Security Council of the Russian Federation has been holding the annual international meetings of high representatives in charge of security issues since 2010. It is an important international platform for exchange of views on all global security-related issues and mechanisms to strengthen cooperation between partner countries to combat international terrorism, extremism, transnational crime, drug trafficking, as well as new challenges and threats.

#Announcement 🗓 On October 22–24, the President of Russia Vladimir Putin will take part in the #BRICS Summit in Kazan under the chairship of Russia. The Summit is themed Strengthening Multilateralism for Just Global Development and Security. During meetings held in both restricted and expanded formats, the BRICS leaders will exchange views on pressing issues on the global and regional agenda, discuss the three main pillars of cooperation identified by the Russian chairship: politics and security, the economy and finance, and cultural and humanitarian ties. ☝️ Particular attention will be given to the potential expansion of BRICS through the proposed establishment of a new category of ”partner nations.“ Reports will also be delivered by the Chair of the New Development Bank, the Business Council, the Interbank Cooperation Mechanism, and the Women's Business Alliance. The outcomes of these discussions will be summarised in the Kazan Summit Declaration. 🌐 On the final day of the summit, a BRICS Plus/Outreach format meeting will be convened, with representatives from nearly forty countries in attendance. Among them are leaders from the CIS, delegations from numerous Asian, African, Middle Eastern, and Latin American countries, as well as heads of executive bodies from various international organisations. The agenda includes discussions on pressing international issues, with a particular focus on the escalating situation in the Middle East and interactions between the BRICS countries and the Global South in the interests of sustainable development. 🤝 Vladimir Putin will hold bilateral meetings with almost all the leaders participating in the Summit. #BRICS2024

#Announcement 🗓 The Eastern Economic Forum 2024 (#EEF) will be held in Vladivostok on September 3-6, 2024, under the auspices of the Roscongress Foundation. The main theme of the Forum is “The Far East 2030: Joining Efforts, Creating Opportunities”. The participants will be presented with the following discussion and thematic blocks: ▫️ “New Contours of International Cooperation” ▫️ “The Russian Far East ▫️ People, Education and Patriotism” ▫️ “Technologies to Ensure Independence” ▫️ “Financial Value System” ▫️ “Master Plans: from Architecture to Economy” ▫️ “Transport and Logistics: New Routes” The EEF is a leading platform for developing the economy of the Far East and expanding international cooperation in the Asia-Pacific Region. In 2023, over 7,000 representatives of official, expert and business circles from 62 countries of the Asia-Pacific Region and other regions of the world took part in the Forum, and 373 agreements worth 3.8 trillion roubles were signed. #Announcement 🗓On September 15-22, 2024, the III Open World Astronomy Olympiad (OWAO) will take place in the Federal Territory “Sirius”. The Olympiad is based on the best astronomical traditions, which brought together world-renowned specialists in the subject. The event aims to strengthen scientific and educational partnerships with other countries as well as to identify talent in astronomy. 👉 The age of the Olympiad participants must not exceed 18 years, while the minimum age threshold is not established. Not only captivating tasks but an extensive cultural program comprising lectures, creative and educational workshops and excursions are awaiting the participants. While in Hanoi, Vladimir Putin will meet with General Secretary of the Communist Party of Vietnam Central Committee Nguyen Phu Trong, President To Lam, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chính, and National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man. The talks will focus on the current status of the comprehensive strategic partnership between Russia and Vietnam in the trade, economic, scientific, technological, and humanitarian spheres, as well as its development prospects. The leaders will also exchange opinions on topical issues on the international and regional agenda. Following the talks, the sides will adopt a joint statement and sign a number of bilateral documents.
