I'm about to cover the overflow pipe in my pond with concrete to ballast it down. So how much buoyancy does that pipe have? how much concrete will I need? The pipe is 6" HDPE corrugated and the O.D. is 7"... To save you the guys I created a table showing the buoyancy per foot of common pipe sizes. I'm using concrete by the bag, but if you want to use soil count on 130 lbs per cubic foot of cover in your ditch. I've also included a chart to show how deep a ditch should be to satisfy this requirement.

Neighbor's system making 10.7kw. The roof is so flat i spec'ed extra panels just to make sure he covered his winter use... and its correct. Woooooo. 10kw was my target. That 6500w going into his house is 3 mini splits and the electric clothes dryer. His son went to make toast last night after dark and he had a family meeting... do anything you want when sun is shining, do not run high power stuff after dark unless emergency. I told him he sounded like his dad.

Today was one of those poor solar days... I made 9.4kwh all day. My low score still stands at 5kwh. Never the less, the neighbor is on his first full day of solar and he managed to tread water for the day. He didn't gain on his battery but he didn't loose anything either. He'll probably wake up with 20% SoC in the morning and it'll be sunny....he will be at 100% by tomorrow after noon. I gotta say.... if you want it to rain, buy a motorcycle, wash your car , or install a new solar system.
