Добрый день. С вами Диана Гулян. Многие считают, что моя визитная карточка - это мои глаза. Но я считаю, что моя визитная карточка, это мой язык. Чтобы убедиться в этом, послушайте одну историю: ... Good afternoon. This is Diana Gulyan. Many people believe my calling card is my eyes. But I believe my calling card (best feature) is my language. To prove this, listen to a story: ...😱 😅The only word which springs to my mind today is: ▶️Жесть! ❓️Can you hear any familiar words in her 'story'? 👋Доброе утро, товарищи! You know, spoken Russian is something else. Let's look at one verb which is often used in slang, more closely today: • Спалить (perf.) [spa-lít'] Meanings: 🔢To burn down: • Спалить до тла [spa-lit' da tla] To burn to the ground 🔢💢Сolloquial: To catch someone off guard 🔻This figurative meaning describes a situation where someone has been caught doing something bad or illegal, completely surprised, often negatively: • Вася, нас спалили! Бежим! [va-sya nas spa-li-li bi-zhym] Vasya, we've been spotted! Run! Synonyms: ▶️Засечь (Revision) ▶️Застать врасплох (Revision) 🎧🗣👇 #Russianlanguage #tricky_words #useful_vocabulary 😎 Stay with @learnRCRussian

Unpacking the Versatile Russian Word: • Хорош [kha-rosh] Meanings: 🔢 This is a shortened version of the adjective: • Хороший (masc.adj.) [kha-ro-shyj] Good, nice, fine (to describe а quality) • А он хорош! [ah on kha-roh] He is good! / He is handsome/fine-looking! 🔢 The unexpected command: in an informal context, хорош can act as an interjection meaning enough, that's it, or stop doing that! It's often used when you want someone (despite the gender!) to cease an annoying action. • Хорош рабoтать! Сегодня суббота! [ha-rosh ra-bo-tat'. si-vo-dnya su-bo-ta]] Stop working! Today is Saturday! 🔢 The Ultra-Informal Enough! • Харэ (+ Infinitive of an imperfective aspect verb) [kha-reh] Stop, enough! 🔻This is an exclusively spoken, very casual, and often quite abrupt way of saying stop it!. It's a direct, almost impolite, command to cease an action. Its origin is unclear. • Харэ работать! [kha-reh ra-bo-tat!] Stop working! 🎧🗣👇Только не показывайте это Владимиру Владимировичу после его вчерашнего указа:) #RussianLanguage #spoken_Russian #tricky_words 😎RCR | Support | Boost

Putin has signed a decree on state language policy. 🔻The document outlines measures to reduce the use of foreign words for which Russian equivalents exist and to prohibit the use of profanity. 🔻The document also states that theRussianlanguage is a national treasure of Russia, an important cultural element that unites the country's multinational people and other peoples of the world into a single cultural and civilizational community of the Russian World. 📎 The posts with #foul_language are going to be deleted without hesitation! #news #RussianLanguage 😎RCR | Support | Boost

👋Приветствую, товарищи! 🔻In Russia, drivers often use slang terms for their car's transmission: 🔢Механическая коробка передач [mi-kha-ni-chis-ka-ya ka-rop-ka pi-ri-dach] Manual gearbox 🔻It is commonly shortened to: • Механика [mi-kha-ni-ka] 🔻So, • Я езжу на механике. [Ya yezdu na mekhanike] means I drive a car with manual gearbox. 🔢Автоматическая коробка передач [af-ta-ma-ti-chis-ka-ya ka-rop-ka pi-ri-dach] Аutomatic gearbox 🔻It is shortened to • Aвтомат [af-ta-mat] • У меня автомат. [u mi-nya af-ta-mat] doesn't mean that "I'marmed with an AK-47 gun 😳" but "I drive a car with automatic transmission." ❓ У меня механика. А у вас? 🎧🗣👇 #russiancars #russianlanguage #useful_vocabulary 😎 Stay with @learnRCRussian

😅Приветсвую, товарищи! Guess what the first 3 things I usually see when I barely open my eyes in the morning are.Right you are: my 3 hungry cats! • Спросонья (adverb) [spra-so-n'ya] 🔻Its synonym: • Спросонок [spra-so-nak] Meaning: Groggy, half-asleep, bleary-eyed, just woken up, straight out of bed 🔻It perfectly captures that fuzzy, disoriented state when you're not quite fully alert. 🔻I DO hope it's interesting not only to watch the cute cat video🐱 but also to look at the word building: • Prefixes С- & ПРО- + root СОНЬ(dream) + suffix -Я = спросонья • Prefixes С- & ПРО- + root СОН(dream) + suffix -ОК = спросонок A purr-fect example: • Спросонья я не понимаю, что от меня хотят мои кошки в 5 (пять) утра. Being groggy with sleep, I have no idea what my cats want from me at 5 AM. 🎧🗣👇 #RussianLanguage #useful_vocabulary #prefixes #adverbs 😎RCRussian | Support | Boost

❌ блЕстающий ✅блИстающий [blis-ta-yu-shchiy] Glowing, glimmering 🔻This is a participle (present active imperfective) which comes from the verb блистать, not блестеть. The difference between these verbs is in my early post▶️here. 🔻Блистающий consists of the root 'блист-', suffixes '-a-' and '-ющ-' and ending '-ий'. 🔻Vowel И is written in the root because the root is followed by suffix '-a-'. If it didn’t, vowel Е would be written: Let’s compare: блИстать but блЕстеть. 🔻There is a similar adjective: • Блистательный [blis-ta-til'-nyj] Brilliant, resplendent, splendid #spelling #tricky_words #learnRussian #russianlanguage 😎Support | Boost | RCRussianр

🗓 On June 6, Russia celebrates #RussianLanguageDay. On this day in 1799, the greatest poet, prose writer, playwright, historian, critic, and founder of the modern Russian literary language, Alexander Pushkin, was born. 🇷🇺 On June 6, 2011, the President of the Russian Federation signed an Executive Order on holding Russian Language Day annually in order to “preserve, support and promote the Russian language as a national treasure of the peoples of the Russian Federation, a means of international communication and an integral part of the cultural and spiritual heritage of world civilisation.” • Support and promotion of the Russian language abroad is one of the most important tools for expanding international cultural cooperation between Russia and other countries. • Russian has the status of a state and official language in Russia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan and other countries. 🇺🇳 Russian is the official or working language in a number of international organisations, including the UN and some of its specialised agencies, the SCO, OSCE, CIS, EAEU, ATS, CSTO, ISO, CES, GUAM, IFRC and ICRC. ❗️ The Russian language is one of the most popular languages in the world: • 6️⃣th most spoken language in the world; • 8️⃣th most widespread language; • 2️⃣nd by the number of websites on the Internet. In general, about 146 million citizens of the Russian Federation and 130 million people abroad speak Russian. #RussianLanguage#Pushkin
