On Junuary 5, 2024, the unloading of a grain began at the port Massawa. The grain was delivered from Russia to Eritrea. The Eritreans prepared special equipment for packing grain into a bags. The Eritrean side loaded bags onto vehicles and transported to the capital of the country - Asmara. 120 heavy trucks have been prepared for this. It takes 9 days to transmit the grain from Massawa to Asmara (116 km). 5 января началась разгрузка балкера, доставившего российское зерно в Эритрею. Эритрейцы подготовили специальное оборудование для упаковки зерна в мешки. После этого оно оперативно грузится на машины и транспортируется в столицу страны - Асмэру. Для этого подготовлено 120 большегрузов, но даже этому количеству машин придется "таскать" зерно из Массауа в Асмэру (116 км вверх по серпантину) 9 дней.

On January 4, 2024, the Russian Ambassador to Eritrea H.E. Mr.Igor Mozgo with the Head of the National Foreign Trade Company of Eritrea "Red Sea Corporation" Mr.A.Zekarias met the ship "Lugano" at the port of Massawa, which delivered 25 000 tons of Russian grain to Eritrea. The delivery was carried out in accordance with the decision of President of the Russian Fedetation H.E.Mr.Vladimir Putin on the free supply of grain to the several African states. 4 января Посол России в Эритрее Игорь Мозго совместно с руководителем Национальной внешнеторговой компании Эритреи "Red Sea Corporation" А.Зекариасом встретили в порту Массауа судно "Лугано", доставившее в Эритрею 25 тысяч тонн российского зерна. Поставка осуществлена в соответствии с решением Президента России В.В.Путина о безвозмездной поставке зерна в ряд африканских государств.

On December 30, 2023. Russian diplomats took part in the final event of the Eritrean Association of Alumnus of Soviet/Russian Universities. The Association's management summed up the work in the 2023. Russian Ambassador to Eritrea H.E. Mr.I.Mozgo thanked the Association for the joint efforts and proposed an agenda for 2024. It was decided that education and the humanitarian sphere will become the main areas of work of the Association and the Embassy in 2024. 30 декабря сотрудники посольства приняли участие в заключительном в 2023 году мероприятии Эритрейской Ассоциации выпускников советских/российских вузов.
