🇷🇺🇵🇰 On November 18, Ambassador Albert P. Khorev participated in the launch ceremony for the book "Pakistan-Russia Relations: A Comprehensive Historical and Strategic Analysis," at the Institute of Strategic Studies Islamabad (ISSI). 📘 Consisting of 13 articles written by Russian and Pakistani experts, the book was prepared by the ISSI research team in collaboration with the Institute of Oriental Studies of the Russian Academy of Sciences. The book highlights historic aspects of relations between the two countries and the current state and prospects of bilateral cooperation in trade, economy, energy, science, technology, culture and education, with a focus on opportunities for cooperation in regional and international formats. ❗️Ambassador Khorev expressed gratitude to the ISSI and the book's authors, noting the initiative's importance and timeliness. The Ambassador highlighted the positive dynamics of bilateral cooperation, as evidenced by the participation of a high-level delegation from both chambers of the Russian parliament in the Inter-Parliamentary Speakers’ Conference (Islamabad, November 11–12) and by the visit of Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of Pakistan Muhammad Ishaq Dar to Moscow for the SCO Council of Heads of Government (November 17–18). 💬 Ambassador Khorev stated, "Russia highly appreciates Pakistan's firm commitment to further strengthening mutually beneficial ties despite aggressive pressure from Western countries." ISSI Director General Sohail Mahmood pointed to the successful shift of our countries away from outdated Cold War ideology. 🤝 The event's chief guest, Senator Mushahid Hussain Syed, noted the effective coordination of Moscow and Islamabad's efforts within the #UN, the #SCO, and the #OIC.
