🌏🎓📚 • Applications are open for the 5th season of the CALR (Central Asian Legal Research) fellowship The CALR Fellowship at Tashkent State University of Law covers a wide range of legal issues related to Central Asian countries. 👉 The purpose of the fellowship is to conduct research on issues related to legal reforms in Central Asian countries, with special attention to current and future challenges in legal theory, legislation, and legal innovations. ✅ In the coming years, TSUL will implement a number of initiatives focusing on the following areas: 1. During the individual interview according to point 6 of the Regulation approved by Appendix No.2 of the Cabinet of Ministers Decree No.705 dated November 22, 2021 "On measures on further improvement of educational institutions of the Ministry of Justice of the Republic of Uzbekistan" the following criteria are evaluated: - understanding of the essence and significance of the comprehensive reforms conducted in the country (availability of vision and ability to think about state and social construction, law enforcement, economic development, and liberalization, as well as reforms in the social sphere and other spheres); - motivation in the choice of specialization (understanding of the essence and social significance of the legal profession, demonstration of permanent interest in it); - personal-professional characteristics (ability to learn, practical activity in solving professional tasks, discipline, cohesion, responsibility, degree of independence in decision-making, as well as the ability to work independently and creatively) - availability of knowledge and professional skills in the field of jurisprudence (availability of skills to formulate and analyze own opinion in the field of jurisprudence at the level of professional education). 👉Read the list of questions... @tsulbox

0️⃣0️⃣0️⃣🇯🇵 • A ceremony dedicated to the 20th anniversary of the Japanese Law Research Center was held at Tashkent State University of Law The event was attended by Takashi Hattori, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Japan to Uzbekistan; Sherzod Rabiev, Deputy Minister of Justice of the Republic of Uzbekistan; Professor Islambek Rustambekov, Acting Rector of TSUL; representatives of government and non-government organizations; international guests; the representatives of TSUL and Nagoya University; as well as faculty and graduates of the Center. Speakers at the event emphasized the importance of the Center in the study of the Japanese language and law, highlighting its contribution to strengthening academic ties between Uzbekistan and Japan. During the ceremony, Naoshi Sugiyama, President of Nagoya University and a long-time partner of TSUL, was awarded the honorary title of “Honorary Professor of Tashkent State University of Law” in recognition of his contributions to both countries and universities. Certificates were also presented to graduates of the Japanese Law Research Center. A festive atmosphere was created by a concert program prepared by TSUL students. When selecting candidates, the following are taken into account: excellent academic performance, good command of a foreign language, participation in creative, social, and intellectual competitions, involvement in spiritual and educational activities, as well as active participation in public life. Requirements for candidates for the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Scholarship: • Must be a final-year student; • Must have excellent grades in all modules to date; • Must have a good knowledge of foreign languages and the history of Uzbekistan; • Must have at least two published scientific articles in the relevant field of their bachelor’s program (priority is given to publications in reputable and recognized journals); • Must participate in conferences (competitions) in their specialty. Requirements for candidates for the Navoi and Islam Karimov Scholarships: Only 3rd and 4th-year students (i.e., current 2nd and 3rd-year students) may participate in the competition. Candidates must: • Have excellent grades; • Participate in scientific (creative) activities (priority is given to articles published in recognized journals); • Participate in conferences (competitions) in their field; • Have a good knowledge of foreign languages and the history of Uzbekistan.
