🇷🇺 Vladimir Putin was impressed by the emotional speech in defense of the letter "Ё" (yo) at the Council on the Russian Language. I want to say that I really love the letter Ё and I believe that we should pay due attention to it as our national treasure.

Подмышкой 🆚️ Под мышкой 🔻Мышка [mysh-ka] is the diminutive name for мышь (мыши) (mouse, mice), but in Russian, this word also has another meaning – the muscleunder the shoulder joint. 🔻According to M. Fasmer's etymological dictionary, this name was given to this organ of movement due to the similarity of the contracting muscle, especially under the skin of the shoulder, to a running mouse. The word has Latin origin: mūs(mouse) → musculus (little mouse). ❗️So, let's figure it out: 🔢Подмышка(подмышки) (femin.noun) [pad-mysh-ka (pad-mysh-ki)] Underarm(s) 🔻This is a noun, written as one word, literally means the area under the muscle: the inner part of the shoulder joint or the part of the garment that falls on this place. • Рубашка давит в подмышках. The shirt is tight in the underarms. 🔢Под мышкой (adverb) [pad mysh-kay] Under one's arm 🔻This already an adverb, which answers the question how? in what way? 🔻There are some varians of this adverb: • Держать мышку под мышкой To hold a (toy) mouse under one's arm • Взять ребёнка под мышки To lift a child under the arms • Положить зонт под мышку To put an umbrella under one's arm 🎧🗣👇Не перепутайте! #tricky_words #crazy_Russian 😎RCR | Support | Boost

On June 3, 1980, a malfunctioning American computer falsely reported a Soviet nuclear attack, triggering a nationwide nuclear alert in the United States. 🔻For ten minutes, the world teetered on the brink of nuclear Armageddon. Minuteman intercontinental ballistic missile launch sites received launch preparation orders, and strategic bomber crews took their positions. 🔻However, the computers presented no clear or consistent picture of the attack. Instead, screens displayed constantly fluctuating numbers of launched missiles, with these numbers varying between different command centers. 🔻The cause of the computer and system failure was later determined to be a faulty chip, costing a mere 46 cents. 🔻Catastrophe was averted thanks to individuals who rationally concluded that such an attack could not have been launched so easily. #brief_and_interesting 😎RCRussian | Support | Boost
