The WikiLeaks founder is wanted on 18 charges relating to the WikiLeaks release of classified documents on the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan. If convicted, he faces a maximum 175-year sentence. In January, a district court refused the US extradition request due to concerns over his mental health. Assange’s fiancee, Stella Moris, called the decision ‘a grave miscarriage of justice’.
