Using drones of various types to attack civilians is the kind of crime that the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) commit deliberately, cynically and with full understanding of the consequences of their actions. With UAV vision systems supplied by Western sponsors drone operators perfectly identify the victim. They see that there is a child, an elderly person or a woman in their crosshairs. ▪️ Since the beginning of 2024, Ukrainian UAVs have wounded no less than 656 civilians and killed more than a hundred (114). In July alone, 186 civilians became victims of the Kiev regime’s drones: 170 were injured, 16 - killed. The majority of civilians injured or killed by Ukrainian UAVs were registered in the Belgorod Region - 79 people, six of them died of their wounds. In the DPR, 48 civilians became victims of AFU drone attacks, five of them were killed. In the Kursk Region, at least 29 civilians were subject to the same sort of Kiev regime’s criminal activity, one person died as the result of a UAV strike. The Ukrainian butchers use UAVs to target civilians in residential areas, track down and burn civilian cars, attack firefighters extinguishing fires, medics and ambulances, civilian infrastructure repair crews, farming machines working in grain fields. ❗️Ukrainian drone operators do not spare even children. Since January 1, no less than 43 minors have suffered from targeted drops of explosive objects by drones in eleven Russian regions adjacent to the frontline. At least nine children have been killed, 34 – injured by AFU UAVs. Among the most cynical crimes of the Kiev executioners is an aimed drop of ammunition on a playground surrounded by multistorey residential buildings in the town of Shebekino, Belgorod Region, on July 11. As a result, five children were hospitalized with mine blast injuries of varying severity. The youngest boy had to undergo a complex surgery on his spine. Doctors fought for the life of the eldest one for more than a week, but the 16-year-old could not be saved. The teenager died of his wounds.

⚡️Comment by Russia's Foreign Ministry Spokeswoman Maria Zakharova on the Ukrainian Armed Forces’ latest terrorist attacks on Russian regions 💬 The Kiev regime continues to carry out its terrorist attacks with the single goal to terrorise the Russian civilians. While being perfectly aware that these barbarous attacks are devoid of any military purpose, it continues to work off the loans provided by its masters. On the night of August 11, the Armed Forces of Ukraine launched a massive strike on Kursk, with tactical Tochka-U missiles fired at the city. Most of them were destroyed by air defence systems. However, one of them hit a residential multi-story building, resulting in 13 civilians injured, including two that are now in serious condition. Over the last 24 hours, the Armed Forces of Ukraine have also carried out a massive attack on several Russian regions using UAVs, including the Belgorod and Voronezh regions. Once again, Shebekino in the Belgorod Region came under attack that left five people injured. Last night, a civilian was killed and 16 others injured during Ukraine’s attacks on the DPR. It was reported that a total of 21 Ukrainian UAVs were destroyed by air defence systems over four regions of Russia. ☝️ It is apparent that Ukraine’s missile and UAV attacks on Russian regions are clearly of terrorist nature. ❗️ We strongly condemn these barbaric terrorist acts aimed at destroying civilian infrastructure, and killing and intimidating civilians. We have no doubt that those who organised and perpetrated these crimes, including their foreign sponsors, will be held to account. A tough response from the Russian Armed Forces will not take long in coming. Once again, we call on international organisations to condemn the terrorist attacks by Ukrainian militants, although we are sure that relevant structures’ shameful silence will come in response.

🌍BRICS House to open in Russia this month, fostering cooperation The Moscow region will see the grand opening of BRICS House on August 28, 2024, marking a new milestone in business and humanitarian collaboration within the grouping. This platform will host international festivals, conferences, exhibitions, and presentations while offering Russian language courses for diplomats, educational programs for city mayors, and training for those involved in foreign economic activity. 🗓 Every year on August 9th, the International Day of the World's Indigenous Peoples is celebrated worldwide. The celebration was initiated by the United Nations in 1994. The International Day of Indigenous Peoples helps draw attention to the roots of traditional culture, awakening interest and respect for the customs of the peoples. As of today, according to UN estimates, there are between 370 to 500 million indigenous people living in 90 countries, making up 5-6% of the world's population. They are the bearers of more than 5,000 unique cultures and traditions inherited from their ancestors. For Russia, this day holds special significance, as our country has long been home to around two hundred nationalities living in harmony and speaking 270 languages, 47 of which belong to indigenous minority peoples. Russian legislation defines indigenous peoples as objects of special legal protection, bearers of collective and individual rights. The unique diversity of customs, traditions, and languages is our common invaluable heritage, which we protect and develop. 🇷🇺 The need for sustainable economic, social, and cultural development of indigenous minority peoples, the protection of their ancestral habitats, traditional way of life, rights, and legitimate interests is hard to overestimate. Never again, even under the best scenarios in our relations with NATO and the EU — which are currently hard to imagine — will we offer any unilateral concessions to the West. No handouts, gifts, concessions, or gestures to appease Washington. If the US attempts to impose something unilaterally beneficial to it again, there will be no agreements. Period. 🔙It was once possible to reach agreements with Washington on a sound and reasonable basis. Some of them are still viable, especially on individual humanitarian issues, but this does not change the overall picture. Negotiations can now only be conducted on a “quid pro quo” basis. The Americans understand this kind of talk quite well. ❗️ President Putin's statement on July 28 at the main naval parade in St. Petersburg regarding the US plans to deploy American intermediate-range high-precision missile systems in Germany in 2026 essentially means that the unilateral moratorium declared by the Russian President shortly after the INF Treaty became history will cease to be in effect. And we will have the opportunity to restore the situation within acceptable limits for us, possibly not even reciprocally. We will ensure our security, and our adversary, the collective West, will not enjoy any unilateral advantages. We will not allow them to gain these advantages.

Today marks a legendary feat of Russian warriors during WW1. Being sieged and gas-poisoned by the Germans at the fortress of Osovetz on August 6 in 1915, 100 soldiers counter-attacked and put to flight superior enemy forces. Attackers underestimated the spirit of the Russians and didn’t expect to meet any resistance. This episode has gone down in history as “the attack of the dead”.
