В ходе встречи стороны обсуждали развитие двусторонних связей в информационной области. On May 5, the Russian Ambassador to Eritrea, H.E. Mr. Igor Mozgo, met with the Minister of Information of the State of Eritrea, H.E. Mr. Yemane Gebremeskel. During the meeting, the parties discussed the development of bilateral ties in the information field.

Основной темой встречи стало обсуждение возможных путей развития ситуации в регионе, в том числе эвакуация российских и турецких граждан из Судана. On May 4, the Russian Ambassador to Eritrea, H.E. Mr. Igor Mozgo, met with his Turkish counterpart H.E. Mr. Ahmet Demirok. The main topic of the meeting was the discussion of possible ways of developing the situation in the region, including the evacuation of Russian and Turkish citizens from the Sudan.

🌍🇷🇺African students test their Russian language skills on nuclear icebreaker ▪️African and Asian students have tested their mastery of Tolstoy's language as part of the Total Dictation project, a national competition for the best spellers held in Russia annually. ▪️Students from Nigeria, Zimbabwe, Morocco, Azerbaijan, and Tajikistan took part in the TruD test (for those learning Russian as a foreign language) on the nuclear-powered icebreaker Lenin, which is stationed in the Barents Sea, off the port city of Murmansk. ▪️Murmansk hosted the TruD language test for the first time, Russian media report. ▪️The TruD educational project on knowledge of the Russian language is conducted as one of the events of the Total Dictation project. During the conversation, the parties discussed the regional and international agenda, as well as preparations for the Russia-Africa summit in July, and for the BRICS summit in August 2023.

Стороны обсудили состояние и перспективы двусторонних отношений, в частности в сфере развития сотрудничества между ведомствами двух стран. On March 15, the Ambassador of Russia to Eritrea I. Mozgo met with the Minister of Justice of Eritrea F. Hashim. The parties discussed the state and prospects of bilateral relations and development of cooperation between the departments of the two countries.

13 марта состоялась встреча Посла России в Эритрее И.Мозго с поверенным в делах Катара Х.Тани. Стороны обсудили ситуацию в регионе и двусторонние отношения Катара и Эритреи. On March 13, the Russian Ambassador to Eritrea, I. Mozgo, met with the Charge de affairs of Qatar, K.Thani. The parties discussed the situation in the region and the bilateral relations between Qatar and Eritrea.

6 марта Посол России в Эритрее И.Мозго принял поверенного в делах Ливии Эсама А.Е. Фатеса, прибывшего недавно в Эритрею. И.Мозго пожелал ливийскому дипломату хорошей работы в Эритрее, рассказал про страну и про российско-эритрейские отношения. Гость, со своей стороны, проинформировал российского Посла о ситуации в Ливии и вокруг нее, и об интересах его государства в Эритрее. On March 6, 2023, Russian Ambassador to Eritrea Igor Mozgo received Libya's Charge d'affairs to Eritrea Mr. Esam A.E. Fates, who had recently arrived to Eritrea. I.Mozgo wished the Libyan diplomat good work in Eritrea and informed him about the country and Russia-Eritrea relations. The guest, for his part, informed the Russian Ambassador on the situation in and around Libya and the interest of his state in Eritrea.

Посол рассказал гостям об истории страны, ее настоящем и об особенностях туризма, с которыми сталкиваются путешественники в Эритрее. В свою очередь, российские туристы рассказали, что Эритрея им очень понравилась и они хотели бы рекомендовать посетить ее своим друзьям. Особенно впечатлили туристов острова в Красном море и подводное плавание между коралловыми рифами. On March 3, Russian Ambassador I. Mozgo received a group of Russian tourists at the embassy. Ambassador told the guests about the history of the country, its present and the peculiarities of tourism in Eritrea. Russian tourists said that they liked Eritrea very much and would like to recommend visiting it to their friends. Tourists were especially impressed by the islands in the Red Sea and scuba diving between coral reefs.

On March 1, the Russian Ambassador to Eritrea, I. Mozgo, received new Charge d'Affaires of Sudan in Eritrea Mr.Omar Al-Farouk at the Embassy. The parties discussed a wide range of issues relating to the Sudanese settlement, the situation in the Horn of Africa, Sudanese-Eritrean relations, as well as the results of Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov's visits to Eritrea and Sudan.
