🇷🇺Moscow sees no progress on deal on exports of Russian agricultural products 🗣 "As of today, 17 million tons of Ukrainian grain have been exported. However, we still observe distortions in the geographic distribution of recipients of Ukrainian food products. The situation with our products does not inspire optimism either. There is no progress in the implementation of the Memorandum of Understanding between Russia and the UN on normalization of Russia's agricultural export," Russian Ambassador in Turkey Aleksey Erkhov said. The ambassador also noted that Russian producers of agricultural products and suppliers are still facing the blocking of payments via banks, high insurance rates, and limited access to sea ports. On December 6, Ambassador of Russia I. Mozgo left his message in the book of condolences in connection with the death of the 5th Patriarch of the Eritrean Orthodox Church Tewahedo H.H.Abune Kerlos. During the commemorative event, the ambassador also expressed condolences to the relatives of the deceased, members of the EOC Synod and handed them the letters with condolences from the Russian Orthodox Church and the Department for External Church Relations of the Moscow Patriarchate.

Position of the Russian Federation 🇷🇺 on the vote on the draft resolution “On combating glorification of Nazism, neo-Nazism and other related practices” 1️⃣ The vote on the draft resolution On combating glorification of Nazism, neo-Nazism and other related practices, held on November 4 in the Third Committee of the 77th United Nations General Assembly, was unprecedented against the background of the increased attempts by Western countries and their allies to challenge the results of World War II, as enshrined in the United Nations Charter, the Charter and verdict of the Nuremberg Tribunal, and the verdict of the International Military Tribunal for the Far East. In their attempt to falsify history and justify the war crimes and crimes against humanity committed by the Nazis and their allies and collaborators, the states that voted against the resolution, especially Germany, Italy and Japan, were blatantly sacrilegious to the memory of the victims of German Nazism, Italian fascism and Japanese militarism. 2️⃣ Guided by their geopolitical, self-interested and opportunistic considerations, Germany and Italy, as former members of the axis, have taken an irresponsible step that casts doubt on the sincerity of their earlier statements of guilt for the outbreak of World War II. These actions also do not correspond to the commitment of these states to the goals and principles of the United Nations that they undertook when they joined the world organization. In this situation, the demand for Japan to officially acknowledge guilt for unleashing armed aggression in the Far East and the results of World War II in full becomes even more relevant. Tokyo should be reminded that its accession to the UN in 1956 was possible only after the Soviet Union gave its consent and provided that Japan strictly complied with all the provisions of the UN Charter. 3️⃣ The position taken by Germany, Italy, Japan and a number of other states which had fought against the anti-Hitler coalition during World War II has clearly demonstrated the prematurity of the discussions. The results of our vote on the above resolution will guide us in shaping Russia's position on supporting those states seeking election as non-permanent and permanent members of the United Nations Security Council, including in the debates on the expansion of this body which, under Article 24 of the UN Charter, has the "primary responsibility for - the maintenance of international peace and security". 4️⃣ In view of their vote, United Nations Member States' Charter obligation to "save succeeding generations from the scourge of war" should be to remind those who fought during World War II against the anti-Hitler coalition of the need to uphold the complex of historical guilt for war crimes and crimes against humanity

В мероприятии приняли участия сотрудники Посольства, соотечественники, постоянно проживающие в Эритрее и работающие по частным контрактам, а также представители Ассоциации выпускников советских/российских вузов. On October 30 Russian Embassy in Eritrea hosted participants of All-Russian Geographical Dictation. The event aroused a noticeable interest. It was attended by employees of the Embassy, compatriots permanently living in Eritrea and working under private contracts, as well as representatives of of Soviet / Russian Universities Graduates Association.
