You are not only respected in Indonesia as a prominent military leader but also as a political figure. You have held the post of defence minister for many years. I know that you have developed very good relations with your Russian colleagues. 🤝 Russia and Indonesia share a long-standing friendship that began decades ago. Next year, we will mark 75 years of diplomatic relations between our countries. 📈 I would like to note that our trade and economic ties have been developing very well recently. Despite the pandemic and the current developments around Russia, including associated restrictions, our trade has been growing. It has doubled over the past years. This is a very positive trend, which makes us happy. I hope that it will persist. We also hope that the draft agreement on the EAEU-Indonesia free trade zone, which is ready for signing, will play a positive and substantial role in the development of our trade and economic ties. <...> We are ready to further increase agricultural deliveries and implement investment projects in energy, transport and infrastructure. 🎙Opening remarks by Russia's Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov during his talks with SCO Secretary-General Nurlan Yermekbayev(April 3, 2026, Moscow) 💬Sergey Lavrov:In 2026,the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (#SCO) marks its 25th anniversary. It is important to organise the SCO’s work in a way that duly reflects this milestone. More importantly, however, we must implement the key agreements already approved by the Heads of State and ensure they are incorporated into the Organisation’s Charter and other documents. As always, we will reaffirm our support for the Secretariat’s efforts to implement the agreements reached by the Heads of State. *** You have raised an important point about the impact of the broader international situation on the SCO’s work. Indeed, it is not only individual states and regions that are being put to a serious test, but also international organisations as mechanisms for advancing collective foreign policy approaches. It seems to me that, amid this turbulent environment, the SCO is acquitting itself with dignity. We will do everything possible to ensure that attempts to weaken our Organisation and diminish its significance and role in Eurasian affairs do not succeed. ☝️We can see such attempts quite clearly. Extra-regional countries are becoming increasingly active in Central Asia and in other parts of our shared Eurasian continent. We also see signs of crisis within both the North Atlantic Alliance and the EU. Our Western colleagues seem to believe that, if they are in crisis, they should impose it on non-Western groupings as well, following the logic of: “If I can’t have it, no one will” – applied to multilateral diplomacy and the building of a new world order. I am confident that the SCO member states are a group of mature and responsible nations. We clearly see the great potential of the Organisation in addressing Eurasia’s challenges through positive action, dialogue, and constructive projects in the practical sphere, in logistics, in what we call the Greater Eurasian Partnership, and in strengthening the collective security of all countries in the region. The SCO holds a unique position, because security, trade, economic, social and transport projects all fall fully within the mandate of our Organisation. 🤝 We will be pleased to hear your specific assessments reflecting the Secretariat’s vision for the way forward. #RussiaSCO

🗓 The 18th East Asia Summit (#EAS) will convene in Jakarta on September 7. 🇷🇺 Russia advocates using the EAS platform to expand multi-pronged practical cooperation with a focus on sector-specific projects. Our initiatives on this platform include efforts: • to establish regionwide collaboration in pandemic response with the launch of a collective response mechanism to epidemic threats, • the development of practical cooperation in the field of tourism. Relevant Russian proposals have been part of top-level thematic documents. ⚠️ During the East Asia Summit, Russia considers it critical to highlight the growing risks to peaceful and sustainable development in the Asia-Pacific region against the backdrop of the West’s confrontational policy aimed at militarising the regional space, with the potential involvement of NATO and the dismantling of the established ASEAN security architecture and replacing all of it with “Indo-Pacific” bloc-based constructs based on containment and counteraction principles. Russia advocates strengthening the system of country-to-country relations in the region, including by aligning ASEAN with regional formats in the Eurasian space, primarily the #SCO and the #EAEU, which, like ASEAN, operate on a positive non-bloc agenda of connectivity and co-development. 🇷🇺🇨🇳 On January 23, Russia's Deputy Foreign Minister Andrey Rudenkoheld consultations in Beijing with China's Deputy Foreign Minister Sun Weidong on cooperation in the Asia-Pacific region (#APR). The Sides highly assessed Russia-China foreign policy coordination in the #APR amid rapidly changing global developments and spoke in favour of further stepping up efforts toward strategic interaction in line with the agreements reached by the leaders of Russia and China. The Deputy Foreign Ministers expressed readiness to expand cooperation within #ASEAN and its mechanisms with a view to containing emerging security challenges in the region against the backdrop of the proliferation of selective military-political quasi-alliances. Russia and China stand in solidarity against the actions and plans of the “collective West” aimed at militarizing the Asia-Pacific, imposing Indo-Pacific strategies on the region, including attempts to deploy military infrastructure there based on NATO standards. The Sides also held in-depth discussions on various aspects of bilateral interaction in connection with developments in Myanmar, Afghanistan, on the Korean Peninsula and in North-East Asia as a whole. B2BASEAN и Росконгресс укрепляют сотрудничество в креативных индустриях Сегодня B2BASEAN и Фонд «Росконгресс» обсудили стратегическое партнерство в сфере креативных индустрий и международных бизнес-инициатив. Ключевой темой стало участие B2BASEAN в Российском Форуме Индустрии Дизайна, который пройдет 15-16 апреля в Москве и станет платформой для обсуждения трендов и возможностей в индустрии дизайна. Также рассматривалось участие Росконгресса в Саммите креативных индустрий Москва–Манила, запланированном на начало июня в Маниле. Саммит объединит бизнес, креативные сообщества и госструктуры России и АСЕАН. Стороны договорились о разработке дорожной карты для дальнейшего сотрудничества, включающей совместные проекты и мероприятия. В рамках форума состоялись ряд продуктивных встреч с бизнес-партнёрами из России. Особое внимание было уделено взаимодействию с индонезийскими коллегами по укреплению двустороннего сотрудничества и реализации совместных проектов.
