​​🔝World’s 10 Most Valuable Brands in 2020 For the eighth year running, #Apple is at the top of the list of most valuable brands in the world, keeping its lead over top companies like #Amazon, #Microsoft and #Google, according to Interbrand’s latest annual rankings. Although there has been some shifting around in positions, all of the brands in the top 10 last year remained there this year. Of the 43% of brands that benefited from a lift in value this year, #Amazon (60%) and #Microsoft (53%) were the fastest risers. #Spotify also had a significant increase, up 52% to $8.4 billion (#70). Other fast-risers this year include: - #Netflix: +41% to $12.7 billion (#41); - #Adobe: +41% to $18.2 billion (#27); - #PayPal: +38% to $10.5 billion (#60); - #Apple: +38% to $323 billion (#1); and - #Salesforce: +34% to $10.8 billion (#58). This year, five brands dropped off the top 100 list, making room for five new entrants. One of those new entrants is #Instagram, which makes its debut to the list at #19 with a brand value of $26.1 billion. #YouTube (#30) joins Instagram on the list of new entrants with a brand value of $17.3 billion. Both of these brands are also favorites among social media marketers. 🎮Mobile Games in Q3 2020 First-time installs of mobile games climbed nearly 28 percent Y/Y last quarter to 14.2 billion across the #AppStore and #GooglePlay globally. The majority of installs came from Google Play, which grew 36.8% from 8.7 billion in 3Q19 to 11.9 billion. Conversely, the App Store actually saw game installs decline slightly Y/Y, decreasing 4.2% from 2.4 billion in the previous year to 2.3 billion in 3Q20. This figure reflects a decrease in mobile game installs from China’s App Store; outside of China, first-time game installs were up slightly. InnerSloth’s #AmongUs was a breakaway hit, reaching No. 1 among the top-downloaded games of 3Q20 with installs that were more than 13 times what it saw in 3Q19. 🤖Robot Workers The rise of the machines has well and truly started. Data from the International Federation of Robotics reveals that the pace of industrial automation is accelerating across much of the developed world with 74 installed industrial robots per 10,000 employees globally in 2016. by 2020, that increased to 113 across the manufacturing sector. Asia now has a robot density of 118 units per 10,000 workers and that figure is 114 and 103 in Europe and the Americas, respectively . China is one of the countries recording the highest growth levels in industrial automation but nowhere has a #robot density like South Korea. Read more here. 🦅@perspectiveix

🎂I Am 5 Today! 5 Years ago today, on 25 September 2015, @perspectiveix channel was born. Although it took us five weeks to share our first post, my birthday is still today! I know that we've slowed down a bit during the past couple of months, but as I'm sure you know, everything's been weird since March... Now we've got @ixDaily with constant daily updates. Nevertheless, it has been another fascinating year of being with you all and we intend to stay around.
