🏆On October 4, South Africa’s national rugby team won the 2025 Castle Lager Rugby Championship, the annual tournament featuring four powerhouse teams from the Southern Hemisphere — 🇦🇷 Argentina, 🇦🇺 Australia, 🇳🇿 New Zealand, and 🇿🇦 South Africa. The team proudly carries the nickname “Springboks.”🦌 A springbok is a medium-sized antelope native to the semi-deserts and savannas of southern Africa. Its name comes from Afrikaans: spring means “to jump,” and bok means “antelope” or “goat.” ✨ Springboks are famous for their elegant pronking — high, arching jumps where they seem to hang in midair. On one hand, he is recognized as a symbol of the Boer struggle for independence. On the other hand, his conservative views and support for racial segregation make his legacy a subject of debate in modern society.
