Церемония традиционно прошла в Александровском зале Большого Кремлевского дворца. 🇧🇮🇪🇹🇰🇿🇲🇱🇰🇷🇬🇲🇩🇪🇸🇬🇸🇪🇸🇮🇱🇺 🇵🇰🇩🇿🇰🇼🇦🇺🇲🇷🇹🇷🇬🇧🇹🇲🇬🇷🇩🇴 💬 В.В.Путин: Мир находится в состоянии турбулентности, переживает кардинальную трансформацию. Но главная тенденция в том, что на смену прежней, однополярной системе приходит новый, более справедливый, многополярный миропорядок. Мы проводили и проводим независимый, последовательный и принципиальный внешнеполитический курс, открыты к конструктивному партнёрству со всеми без исключения странами и не приемлем блоковую конфронтацию, любые шаги, идущие вразрез с Уставом ООН. Рассчитываем, что все международные партнёры в отношениях с нами будут придерживаться принципов равноправия и взаимного учёта интересов. 👉 В наступающем 2024 году России предстоит выполнить целый ряд важных внешнеполитических функций. Нам выпало первыми председательствовать в расширенном объединении БРИКС. И мы сделаем всё возможное, чтобы помочь новым участникам объединения гармонично встроиться в режим работы этой организации. 👉 В следующем году Россия будет выполнять председательские функции и в Содружестве Независимых Государств – самых близких для нас, естественных партнёров. И мы нацелены всемерно способствовать наращиванию разнопланового взаимодействия между ними. 👉 Будем так же активно развивать интеграционные процессы в Евразийском экономическом союзе, углублять сотрудничество в рамках Организации Договора о коллективной безопасности. 👉 Особое внимание уделим работе с партнёрами по Шанхайской организации сотрудничества, превратившейся после подключения Индии, Пакистана и Ирана в институциональную опору «Большой Евразии». ❗️ Выстраивание сотрудничества по линии Большого Евразийского партнёрства, инициативу создания которого мы выдвинули несколько лет назад, – это ещё один наш магистральный внешнеполитический проект. ✊🏿 Today the world marks International Day for the Abolition of Slavery. On this day in 1949, the UN General Assembly adopted the Convention for the Suppression of the Traffic in Persons and of the Exploitation of the Prostitution of Others. ⛓ The practice of buying and selling slaves dates back to the 7-6th centuries BC, but the slave trade reached widespread proportions with the Age of Discovery in the 15th century, when European colonialists needed free labour. Initially, slaves were transported there through Europe, but starting from the mid-16th century, slave ships began to sail directly to the New World across the Atlantic Ocean. ▪️ According to UN data, approximately 17 millionindividuals were forcibly taken from Africa throughout the history of the slave trade, marking it as one of the largest crimes in human history. Until the mid-17th century, Portugal played the predominant role in the slave trade, later joined by Great Britain, the Netherlands and France. The slave trade significantly contributed to the rapid development of many of the largest cities in Europe and America. At the same time, in inflicted immense damage on Africa’s economic potential, estimated at $777 trillion by the African Reparations Commission. 🇺🇳 The UN recognises the transatlantic slave trade as one of the most heinous crimes against humanity. Unfortunately, it remains undeservedly overlooked. The descendants of the colonialists are yet to pay compensation for the damage inflicted; moreover, they have not even apologised for it to the peoples of Africa. ☝️Combating neo-colonialism is a priority for Russia in fostering cooperation with the African continent. Russia supports African states in their efforts to finally complete the decolonisation process and advocates for a thorough examination of the consequences of the slave trade within leading international organisations.

🇷🇺🇲🇰🇲🇹 On November 30, on the sidelines of the OSCE Ministerial Council meeting in Skopje, Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrovmet with Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of North Macedonia and OSCE Chairman-in-Office Bujar Osmani and Minister for Foreign and European Affairs and Trade of Malta and future OSCE Chairman-in-Office Ian Borg. The state of affairs in the OSCE was discussed. The Russian Side emphasised that in order for the organisation to overcome its current deep crisis and return to its normal activity, it is necessary to resume a mutually respectful and equal dialogue between the Member States, observe the fundamental rule of consensus, and strictly follow the Rules of Procedure.

🎙Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov’s remarks during the 30th meeting of the OSCE Ministerial Council(November 30, 2023) Key points: • In just over a year, the Helsinki Final Act will mark its 50th anniversary. Regrettably, the OSCE is approaching this milestone in a lamentable condition, and its prospects remain uncertain. • Unfortunately, Western political elites appropriated the role of rulers of humanity’s destiny and made a shortsighted choice in favour of NATO rather than the OSCE. They embraced a philosophy of containment, geopolitical zero-sum games, and the leader-follower logic. The bloc’s reckless expansion to the East, which started after the dissolution of the Warsaw Treaty Organisation, was a key component of this approach. • The genuine intentions of the Western politicians again revealed themselves when Washington and Brussels rejectedRussia’s December 2021 proposals on legally binding security guarantees in Europe. • In a bid to crush the Russian economy, the United States and its European satellites have introduced thousands of anti-Russia sanctions, thereby making impossible any significant East-West practical cooperation in what was once our common region. • The Kiev regime is Washington’s investment into its egoistic interests of deterring Russia and resolving its own problems at the expense of others. This applies to the removal of economic competitors, primarily the EU. • The current situation is a direct consequence of the persistent attempts by our Western neighbours to ensure their dominance, as they shamelessly use the OSCE to aggressively push through their self-serving interests and consciously undermine the fundamental principle of consensus and the culture of diplomacy. • There are no particular reasons to be optimistic now. Essentially, the OSCE is being reformatted to become an appendage of NATO and the EU. This organisation (let’s face it) is on the brink of the abyss. ❓ Hence, a simple question: Does it make any sense to invest in any effort to revive it? Read in full

🇷🇺🇲🇰🇲🇹 30 ноября «на полях» СМИД ОБСЕ в г.Скопье состоялась беседа Министра иностранных дел Российской Федерации С.В.Лаврова с Министром иностранных дел Республики Северной Македонии, Действующим председателем ОБСЕ Б.Османи и Министром иностранных и европейских дел и торговли Мальты, будущим Действующим председателем ОБСЕ И.Борчем. Обсуждено состояние дел в ОБСЕ. С российской стороны подчёркнуто, что для выхода Организации из нынешнего глубокого кризиса и возвращения к нормальной деятельности необходимо возобновить взаимоуважительный и равноправный диалог государств-участников, соблюдать основополагающее правило консенсуса, чётко следовать Правилам процедуры.
