🎙 From President Vladimir Putin's speech during a meeting with members of the Security Council and Government, and heads of security agencies (October 30, 2023) ⚡️ The events in Makhachkala last night were instigated also through social networks, not least from Ukraine, by agents of Western intelligences services. I would like to ask myself in this connection: is it possible to help Palestine by trying to attack the Tat people and their families? Tats, by the way, are the titular nation in Daghestan. The only way to help Palestine is to fight those who are behind this tragedy. We, Russia, are fighting them in a special military operation, fighting them for ourselves and for those who seek real, true freedom. I never cease to be amazed by the Kiev regime and its overseas masters. We know that Bandera and other henchmen of Hitler have already been put on a pedestal of honour, we know and see how the Ukrainian leadership applauds the Nazis of the Second World War, who were guilty of the Holocaust victims, who personally took part in these crimes, and today, under the guidance of their Western patrons, are trying to instigate pogroms in Russia. By the way, I am not sure whether all the leading circles in the same States are aware of this. It would not be a bad idea for those who care so much about the citizens of Israel to investigate what their security services are doing in Ukraine, whether they are trying to instigate pogroms in Russia. ❗️ But those who really stand up for truth and justice, who fight against evil and oppression, against racism and neo-Nazism, which the West encourages, are now fighting at the front – near Donetsk, Avdeyevka, on the Dnieper. I repeat: these are our soldiers and officers. And the choice of a real man, a true warrior, is to take up arms and stand in line with his brothers, to be there where the fate of Russia and, indeed, of the whole world, including the future of the Palestinian people, is being decided.

@RusEmbMalta: Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov took part in the High-level International Conference Eurasian Security: Reality and Prospects in a Transforming World. (Minsk, October 26, 2023). 💬@SergeyLavrov: It is especially important now when Europe, as dictated by the Americans, decided to divide our united, large and rich in mineral resources continent, which was given to us by God and history, into two camps. 👉 One of the Americans’ goals was to weaken Europe and to prevent it from squaring its shoulders and becoming economically independent. October 28, 1908, can be considered the birthday of сinematography in Russia. On this day, the first feature movie filmed in the Russian Empire premiered in St. Petersburg. ‘Stenka Razin’ is only seven minutes long. The script was written by Vasily Goncharov and was inspired by Dmitry Sadovnikov’s famous song, ‘From Behind the Island to the Midstream’. According to the plot, Don Cossack and ataman Stepan Razin returns from an overseas adventure, in which he has captured a Persian princess. The movie begins with the Cossacks sailing down the Volga in boats, with Razin himself sitting on the bow, passionately embracing and kissing his captive. They celebrate the success of the campaign and the rich booty. However, the Cossacks are worried, as they are pursued by the tsar's troops. And, the ataman, forgets about the business and starts to have fun with a beautiful woman! The Cossacks dare to conspire and slip a letter to a drunken Razin, supposedly written by the princess to her lover. The movie ends with the enraged jealous ataman throwing the princess into the Volga. Alexander Drankov, one of the pioneers of Russian cinema, acted as a producer of the movie. He had his own film and photo studio and had already become famous for his first documentary about Leo Tolstoy. 🔔Russia Beyond

'As far as the defence industry, I mean, they are happy to make money. They are happy. Any war is an opportunity for them to make more money,' says John Varoli, American journalist and analyst. Amid the military operations in Ukraine, the market value of major Western defence corporations increased by 21.5% in 2022. All these big companies continue to push the American government to have an offensive position on Ukraine, through intense lobbying. How high are they willing to raise the stakes in this major war game? Red Alert: U.S. Defence Industry Bloody Business / 2023 #USA 🌍Join Documentary Planet for more!

▪️ October 25 will mark 40 years since the US invasion of Grenada. On October 25-27, 1983, the US armed forces carried out operation Urgent Fury, having landed an impressive military contingent in that Caribbean state. The formal pretext for the invasion was declared to be to ensure the safety of 630 American students studying at St George's University. It was argued that their safety could have been jeopardized following the country's military coup. 👉 In fact, Washington feared the emergence of a "second Cuba" in the Caribbean region and took advantage of the political tensions in Grenada to forcefully remove the leftist forces from power. However, the Americans did not have an easy time. Grenada's security forces put up fierce resistance. The civil infrastructure of the island - hospitals, schools and kindergartens - were damaged during the air raids. The Soviet Embassy was also shelled, and one of our diplomats was seriously wounded. The US actions in Grenada were condemned by the majority of the international community, both members of the socialist camp led by the USSR and China, and many US allies – Britain, France, and Mexico. Latin American countries actively protested against the attack. ❌ The 1983 invasion of Grenada is a blatant example of USneocolonial policies, Washington's violations of international law, encroachment on the sovereignty and territorial inviolability of independent states.

🎙 Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov’s interview with the 60 Minutes TV show (Moscow, October 20, 2023) Read in full ❓ Question: National Security Council Coordinator for Strategic Communications John Kirby has recently said, as quoted by all US news agencies, that thousands of containers with military equipment had been delivered from Pyongyang to Moscow over the past two months. The Washington Post subsequently published satellite images which allegedly confirm that information. What was in those containers? 💬 Sergey Lavrov: I don’t comment on rumours. It’s no news that the Americans always accuse everyone. It is common knowledge. <...> Today everyone is talking about the tragedy in Gaza, where a hospital was attacked, hundreds of people were killed and hundreds more wounded. Why not ask the Americans for the satellite images of the attack, considering that they are undoubtedly monitoring the area? The strike could not have gone unnoticed. The situation in the world would be much calmer if people stopped throwing stones without good reason. <...> ❓ Question: Does the de-ratification of the nuclear test ban treaty mean that we are ready or planning to hold nuclear tests? 💬 Sergey Lavrov: We also pointed out that we did not plan to revise our attitude to activities under that treaty. We are withdrawing ratification exclusively because the United States has been too long with its own ratification and obviously doesn’t intend to complete the process. As President Putin said, we merely wanted to mirror the US approach. This is exactly what we have done. ❓ Question: Did we see this as an attempt to sober up or bring the Americans to their senses? 💬 Sergey Lavrov: I don’t know what a politically sober American looks like. I can’t comment on that.

"Children, women, men, they all died because of Western aggression. And that's why I'm here to show you back home in the West the truth, not the lies of mainstream media," says journalist Tofurius Maximus Crane from the United States. A hundred years ago, his ancestors left Russia for the US. However, after visiting Donbass, the American journalist decided that he should return to his historic homeland. Tofurius visited Donetsk and Mariupol to shed light on what Western media carefully conceals – how each day the Ukrainian artillery shells the peaceful residents of Donbass. ⚡️On developments in the Middle East The crisis in the Middle East is escalating. Shelling of Israeli territory continues, as well as rocket and bomb attacks on the northern and other parts of the Gaza Strip, and armed incidents along the Blue Line between Lebanon and Israel. The death toll and the number of wounded are rising, prompting massive protests around the world. ⚠️In this context, we strongly recommend that citizens of the Russian Federation refrain from traveling to the region, especially to Israel, Lebanon, Jordan or the Palestinian territories. If you must travel to those countries, please observe extreme caution and take heightened personal safety measures; avoid areas of clashes and risks, and follow the recommendations of the local authorities, as well as reports from Russia’s overseas missions. Russia continues to work closely with the authorities in Egypt and Israel to evacuate Russian citizens who have applied for assistance from the Gaza Strip. We are constantly monitoring the flights situation in the region. There are opportunities to leave Israel, Lebanon, Jordan and other countries using regular flights. About 6,000 people have returned to Russia from Tel Aviv using regular airlines since October 9. ❗️Following the Russian President’s instruction, on October 19, a special flight of the Russian Emergencies Ministry delivered humanitarian aid (a total of 27 tonnes of flour, sugar, rice and other food) to El Arish Airport, Egypt, which was handed over to representatives of the Egyptian Red Crescent Society for the people of Gaza. This is yet another confirmation of Russia’s readiness to provide a prompt humanitarian response.

🎙 Concluding his working visit to the People's Republic of China, President Vladimir Putinanswered questions from Russian media (October 18, 2023) #RussiaChina 🇷🇺🇨🇳 Regarding the influence of external factors and conflicts on the development of Russian-Chinese relations, all these external factors amount to common threats, and they strengthen Russian-Chinese interaction. I am optimistic about specific prospects. In March, we reached certain agreements and set forth eight clauses. Right now, the prime ministers will have to clarify these clauses in Bishkek, and they will sign a plan for our interaction until 2030. This is a very good, specific and substantial plan. China's Belt and Road initiative is a global initiative and concerns practically every region of the world. What is called the Eurasian Partnership is a local-scale project. Without any doubt, one complements the other. #MiddleEast Regarding the impressions I got during conversations with the five regional leaders: I have an impression that no onewants this conflict to continue or expand, or the situation to escalate. we have always advocated the creation of a Palestinian state that would be independent, sovereign and with a capital in East Jerusalem. After all, as demonstrated by today’s crisis, there is no way you can use momentary economic handouts in the way attempted by the United States, in lieu of addressing fundamental political issues dealing with the future of the Palestinian nations. We need to address fundamental political issues. #Ukraine If the Ukrainian side really wants to negotiate, it should not make any theatrical gestures but instead start by cancelling the presidential executive order prohibiting talks [with Russia]. Practical steps must be taken if there is a real desire to hold negotiations. Read in full
