Our country was the first to recognise the People’s Republic of China on October 2, 1949, the day after its declaration. • I want to note the significance of the Joint Statement we have adopted, which sets new objectives and long-term directives for advancing the entire spectrum of Russian-Chinese relations. 📈 In 2023, bilateral trade surged by a quarter, reaching a new milestone of $240 billion, as reported by Chinese statistics. While there may be a slight variance in figures, the overall total is entirely accurate. <...> Currently, there are over 80 priority projects valued at approximately $200 billion in progress or in preparation for implementation through the respective intergovernmental commission. • Our talks have reaffirmed that Russia and China have similar or identical views on many international and regional issues. @RusEmbMalta: 🎆 8 мая в Посольстве по случаю #ДняПобеды состоялся торжественный приём, который посетили многочисленные гости из числа соотечественников, мальтийцев, также представители российско-сербского общества дружбы. Перед началом мероприятия присутствующие почтили память погибших в Великой Отечественной войне минутой молчания. В своей речи Посол России А.Г .Лопухов отметил важность сохранения памяти о Великой Победе и той страшной цене, которую пришлось заплатить ради искоренения нацистской угрозы. Он также призвал бережно хранить и передавать потомкам память о тех, кто ради нашего будущего отдал жизнь на полях сражений. В рамках мероприятия прошла акция «Бессмертный полк». В фойе была развернута историческая фотовыставка. Гостям раздавались Георгиевские ленточки. 💐 Ярким событием вечера стал праздничный концерт, на котором выступили российские, сербские и мальтийские исполнители и музыканты. По его завершению гостям были предложены угощения, в том числе блюда российской и сербской «полевой кухни».

Мы никогда не забудем подвиг 27 миллионов советских людей, которые отдали свои жизни в борьбе с фашизмом. ⚡️ Foreign Ministry statement on the Russian Armed Forces’ exercises held to practice for the use of non-strategic nuclear weapons 💬 Regarding the upcoming Russian military exercises held to practice for the use of non-strategic nuclear weapons, we would like to point out that these drills should be viewed in the context of the recent militant statements made by Western officials and the highly destabilising actions taken by several NATO countries to increase military pressure on the Russian Federation <...>. 👉 The matter concerns above all the open declaration of support for and the provision of direct assistance to the terrorist attacks against Russia carried out by the Kiev regime with the use of increasingly more advanced Western weapons provided to it. <...> Apart from the British and French long-range missiles, which have long been used in Ukraine, we have taken special note of the models of US-made ATACMS missiles, which have been recently sent to Ukraine and are capable of reaching targets inside Russia. At the same time, attempting to build up multifaceted missile threats to Russia, the US has openly and manifestly launched the deployment of ground-based intermediate- and shorter-range missiles, which were previously prohibited under the INF Treaty, around the world. <...> ❗️We hereby expressly declare that we reserve the right to respond in kind, no matter where US-made intermediate- and shorter-range missiles are deployed, which would amount to the termination of Russia’s unilateral moratorium on the deployment of these weapon systems. <...> These and several other actions by NATO countries actually show that they are deliberately trying to escalate the Ukrainian crisis all the way to an open military confrontation between NATO countries and Russia within the framework of their hostile policy of inflicting a “strategic defeat” on Russia. ⚡️Russia's MFA prepared and published report on the human rights situation in the US ❗️Despite the deep contradictions in American society, the US continues to assert itself a global leader in the field of human rights protection. At the same time, Washington is in no hurry to expand its international legal obligations in the field of protection of fundamental rights and freedoms. Among violations of human rights and freedoms that were committed by the US: ❌ The conduct of all kinds of military operations in the territory of European and Middle Eastern states; ❌ Creation of secret prisons around the worldу; ❌ Implementation of extremely stringent migration policies in recent years. These and others violations illustrate not only the dual nature of this country's position regarding human rights standards but also its approaches to international law as such. The American authorities actively use the tactics of "fighting by proxy" against Russia and Russians. This is expressed in the direction of large‑scale military assistance to the Kiev regime and putting pressure on the US NATO allies so that they take similar measures. 👉 An overt pressure is being exerted on sovereign states, including through the use of human rights mechanisms, in an attempt to create a corresponding negative background around the Russian Federation and its allies and partners in the international arena. Mentoring tone, partiality, full oblivion of the concept of sovereignty and one of the main and fundamental principles of international law enshrined in the UN Charter – non-interference in the internal affairs of states, lead to deep disappointment in those very "Western values" that "fascinated" other civilizations and societies during a century, bringing considerable political dividends to the West and the US itself. ☝️ Moreover, the human rights situation in the US itself is far from international standards in the field of protection of fundamental freedoms, which is becoming more and more obvious day after day 📄Read in full
